Magical Family Vacation

Lovely beach vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very spacious and decorated nicely. Loved how close to the beach we were and shopping. Had a little trouble trying to figure out the tv remotes. Maybe some instructions would help. We would definitely stay again.

Family Vacation

Appliances could have been more updated. Washer didn’t wash clothes very well. Better daily cleaning supplies (small battery vacuum, etc.) could’ve been available.

Comfortable

The condo was very accommodating for our group. The place was pretty clean and it felt comfortable. They had a lot of beach toys stocked and an extra cooler. We brought our own, but it is a nice bonus. It is right across from an elevator, which is very convenient for bringing up luggage and groceries easily. Sterling Shores was pretty quiet when we went. Even though it's not on the beach, there is a nice view. The location is convenient.

It was a Girl trip and the accommodations were excellent

Very convientient to restaurants and the pool area was really nice. good access to the beach! we had a great time and plan on staying at Sterling Shores again next year. Hope to get same condo.

Sterling Shores

Liked the location and condos. Although I was disappointed in a couple of things. To spend over $4,000 for 4 nights. I expected better. The biggest downfall was.. only 1 elevator was working in the entire building. There was always a long line of people waiting for the elevator. Which would take 15-20 min. We started taking the stairs up to the 8th floor to avoid the long elevator waits. Also, no where in the description of the condominium bookings were we told no personal canopies on the beach. We bought a brand new canopy to take to the beach which we weren’t allowed to use. We came to the beach for a family reunion with 34 people. The shore area for sterling shores was all filled with private rental umbrellas. You are only allowed to rent umbrella and chairs, Or bring your own small size umbrella and put behind the last row of private rentals. So, if you don’t want to spend $54 for a rental umbrella and 2 chairs, you need to buy a umbrella and set it up at the last row of all rentals where you can barely see the water or your children. Disappointing and will not rent at Sterling Shores again.

Management Company 👎

We were in this rental from Saturday through Friday. The dryer did not work from day one. Long story short, I alerted the management company about the dryer on Sunday. A maintenance worker came out on Monday. We were told that the motor was broken and it needed new parts and if the repairs were not authorized by the owner that a loaaner dryer would be delivered on Tuesday. This never happened. We went without a dryer for the entire week. We drove 9 hours with 5 people so we packed lightly because I purposely rented a condo with laundry facilities. We ran out of clean laundry, our beach towels were dirty since day 1. We were finally offered clean towels and wash clothes for the condo, but these coukd not be used on the beach or pool area. I have messages were I am told that maintenance was at our condo at that very moment repairing, but we were there and no worker was in the condo with us. I was told by message that a loaner had been delivered and that was the best that they could do. The problem was that a loaner HAD NOT been dropped off. The original dryer was still in pieces in the laundry room. We had to bag up towels and bathing suits from our last day that had not dried and by the time we traveled home they smelled terrible. Poor communication and follow through. The pots and pans were hardly usable due to the teflon flaking off on practically every pan. For the price of the rental I would think that the pans would have been usable.

Review:

Overall we had a good stay. The location was perfect for us; beach view, 10-15 minute drive to good restaurants and shops and only a few minute walk to the beach. The cleanliness of the property was not great but it was manageable. The oven takes an hour just to preheat which was a little frustrating. Also we were not provided with wristbands so we messaged RealJoy. They replied within a few hours and brought us some but only brought 4 which was a little strange. Overall we had a good vacation and would consider staying here again.

Excellent experience

From the get go this rental was top notch. RealJoy was easy to work with and was on top of every detail. The bedrooms were spacious and kitchen had plenty of room to work in. We did use the bbq area and that was perfect for us. The pools were heated which was a plus for the few days it was colder than normal. I loved how the whole property was gated definitely made me feel safe for being in a different town. All in all great location right in the middle of everything and right at the beach. We will definitely stay again.

Nice, a bit outdated...

This is a nice property but needs a few updates. The mattresses were not comfortable. The washing machine did not work for three days. It was replaced while we were there. There was only one light working in second bathroom. We were awakened on one night with an alarm going off only in this unit. When we couldn't find anything wrong, we tried to go back to sleep. Someone came the following day and visually inspected the fire alarms (which we had already done).

Great Location

We stay at this condo complex every year. This particular condo hasn't been updated in a while but is reasonably clean and communication from the managing company was great, which made the process easy. Be advised that, unlike most of other rentals we have stayed at, this one has zero supplies in the pantry, i.e. you will be buying your own salt and other basic necessities.

1st birthday trip

Overall the trip was very nice. Housekeeping did a terrible job. There was hair everywhere including the showers and bed. My child now has hand, foot , and mouth disease which I believe he caught while staying in this condo. (My child isn’t in daycare or around other kids and he had symptoms 3 days after leaving the condo).
