"We enjoyed our three night stay at The Twelve hotel in Barna. We decided to try staying outside of Galway and used bus and taxi to get in and out of town. The hotel is very nice. The room is spacious (we had a King suite). The morning breakfast was excellent. While Barna was not particularly walkable, we were able to take the city bus both into Galway to explore the city and take an excursion to the Cliffs of Moher, as well as to the ferrys to Aran Islands. Staff was professional and helpful, printing out the bus timetable for us. "

"Our stay was idyllic, dreamy, and fully relaxing. First, Janet and Michael are exceptionally warm and gracious. They made us feel welcome and right at home and were attentive to our comfort. The property is absolutely charming with beautiful cottage garden spaces and a lovely view from the all windows. Riley, the sweet, gentle, herding dog, greeted us often with her smiling face. The cottage is in the most beautiful area, with stunning walks to the beach, past lovely herds of cows, sheep, and a few ponies and friendly neighborhood cats and dogs. A wonderful, fully-stocked market is just a 10-minute walk away. We were pleased to find many gluten free selections. The cottage itself was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Beds were very firm and comfortable, showers were great, and the kitchen was a delight to cook in. We sat outside mornings and evenings with coffee or meals and enjoyed the beautiful garden and fresh, clean air. It’s a short drive from the cottage to many exciting places to see. The Wild Atlantic Way is truly spectacular. We spent three weeks at this unforgettable place and were truly sad to leave. We hope we can return someday to stay here again or to try Janet and Michael’s gorgeous Connemara Glamping, if we bring our extended family along with us. We can’t thank our hosts enough for their warm hospitality. It was truly a relaxing and restorative trip. We offer our highest recommendation for this stay. "
