Best Western Paradise Inn & Resort

"The property is a bit run down but clean. When we got there and checked in the room lock didn't work. The evening desk guy was great, He tried new key cards, then the master key card. When none of that worked he moved us to another room with a working lock, and was sincerely apologetic despite this being a maintenance issue and not his fault. The room was clean, the linens were clean, but some of the fixtures were broken, like the toilet paper holder, and one of the lamps didn't work. There were hard water rings around the sink faucet which made the bathroom look junky. The continental breakfast was generous and well prepared but the coffee was like water. The backsplash behind the buffet was tiled without any grout. It was off putting because I wondered how they kept the space between the tiles clean. To summarize, on the plus side, excellent staff, very clean, affordable, decent food. On the negative, janky fixtures and really watery weak coffee."

"This home and host are wonderful. We had a very nice time near the lake and hanging out in the backyard as it got dark was the cherry on top. The house is immaculate and fully stocked with everything you could ever think of needing. The host was so kind and communication was great. I would definitely recommend staying here!"
