Million Dollar View of the Chesapeake Bay

'Fredelig sted'(peaceful place) is patterned after a Norwegian cottage with curved roof on the outside and knotty pine and birch wood inside.

The bright panoramic view of the Chesapeake from the great room, master bedroom or deck elicits a relaxed, peaceful mood as soon as you arrive. Watch the seagulls or osprey play in the breeze or the dozens of sailboats in the distance while you are curled up on a deck chair in the shade of a huge oak tree. Bring a book or read one from the collection in the book case.

When you are hungry, light the gas or charcoal grill, or the oven, or travel a few minutes to Skipper's Pier or any of the fine restaurants along the river or the Bay. Even more restaurants are in nearby Annapolis, just 30 minutes away.

The children or adults can play croquet, badminton or ride the swing in the fenced back yard. Or they can wade or swim in the Bay right in front of the house.



Annapolis has theaters, playhouse, symphony, pirate ship for kids, sight-seeing, crab cruises. Winery tours and tasting and nature trails are nearby including a stand of huge bald cypress trees with native birds. Pier and boat launch 5 minutes away.

Perfect views for a relaxing stay

Property was just what I was after for a short break to relax and take in the stunning view. Nice quiet neighborhood to take walks around and a community pier to appreciate the water views for sunrise and sunset.

Million Dollar View

My family enjoyed our second stay at this property and have already made our reservation for 2024. The location is perfect for fishing, crabbing, kayaking and relaxing while enjoying magnificent views of the Chesapeake Bay.

We wanted a quiet relaxing location to spend the week and we did have that and enjoyed it very much.

This place stated it had a million dollar view and that was so true. Saw sunrises and rain storms all across the Chesapeake Bay. Was such a nice week of family time. Our teenage granddaughters had so much fun with the kayaks and paddle board as well as large tubes to float in they kept busy all week.

Applebrook Girls Reunion

We grew up together in NJ, and got together for the first time in 50 years at this beautiful house! It mostly poured rain, but we just enjoyed talking and laughing together. The house is so pretty, right on the water, in a gorgeous area

Girls’ weekend

The location was perfect, the views were amazing, and the house was adorable! The listing did state “hot tub” but it referred to a jetted tub in the primary bath. I specifically sought out a property with an outdoor hot tub and was a bit disappointed by the misleading listing. Glasses in the cabinet were layered with dust/grim as if not used in years. Otherwise the place was terrific and I would stay here again.

We had the pleasure of staying at this incredible vacation rental, and we can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the house's beauty and functionality.The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need – whether you're cooking a full meal or just making a quick snack, you'll find all the tools, gadgets, and appliances to make it happen.The bathrooms are well-equipped with towels, toiletries, toilet paper.Plenty of space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.The hosts were incredibly accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and enjoyable.Overall, this house was a dream come true for our vacation. We did have the privilege to spend 3 nights over New Year's eve in Bob's house. It has been great! Enough space for 10 persons, a lot of love in many details in the house, everything in good shape. We really liked it and recommend to to spend time in this property. Also Bob has been very responsive and came back to our questions quickly. All good!!

The perfect place to build lasting memories!

We stayed at this home for a weekend. We checked in at night and woke up to gorgeous, breathtaking views of the ocean from our bedroom! It indeed was a 'million dollar view'. The neighborhood is quiet and easily accessible. Robert has taken utmost care to provide the best amenities and convenience to guests. The backyard is very beautiful and the American flag looks stunning against the backdrop of the vast ocean! I highly recommend this home! 5 stars!

Great place, Neighbors are finicky

We had a wonderful time, house was nice, clean, and perfect location for our fishing charter that was at 5am! However, the neighbors complained to owner saying we were too loud past 10pm. In order to be well rested for the 5am fishing charter we made sure to be in bed before 10pm, so we were confused as to what was meant by " too loud, too late"?

Quite and relaxing time away!

Very clean, everything you need plus! Close to DC, Annapolis, Arlington National Cemetery and many more we didn’t have time for! Ordering dinner out and bringing it back to the house to eat while watching a movie and just enjoy watching the view! The view of the Bay is breathtaking!!!!!!Highly recommend the MACC Church if your looking for a church.We drove 16 hours one way to get there and we would do it again!Blessings

A lovely retreat

Great view, disappointing interior

As we drove to the property, I received a text from the owners. Because the day had been warm, they had remotely turned the a/c for us. "How kind that they have prepared for our arrival.” I thought. So, I was confused when we arrived after dark, and the porch light was off. This, combined with the leaf-covered flagstone pathway, made the walk to the house a bit precarious for my 83-year-old mother-in-law. The inside of the house was prepared for us, but seemed rather utilitarian – one pillow per guest, one towel per guest. Luckily, there were only three of us, so we snagged extra pillows from another room. The rest of the interior was disappointing. The furniture has seen better days. The chaise in the primary bedroom has a rip in the fabric that has been repaired with duct tape. A plastic folding table is used as a sideboard in the dining room. The following morning revealed that neither the primary bedroom balcony nor the deck had been prepared for guests. The plastic that had covered the furniture was blown into a heap in the corner of the balcony. The deck furniture was pushed into a corner and both spaces were covered in leaves. My husband and I had to move the furniture and sweep the leaves before we could use the deck. To the owners: Thank you for offering your home. Our comments are intended as constructive criticism and are not meant to be unkind. We wanted to love it, but we didn't. No doubt the water view is beautiful, but overall we were underwhelmed.

Spectacular View

Beautiful home with a spectacular views of the bay. Perfect for our family reunion. Enjoyed sitting outside on the back porch watching sailboats, powerboats and wildlife pass us by. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful family time! Fishing, crab trap, played badmitton. Kept busy right at property. Teenagers only on electronics at end of day! House is beautiful and pretty flower garden. Chesapeake beauty

Our stay at this home was wonderful! The house is beautiful with a lot of character. Everything about it made our stay relaxing and easy. We spent most of our time on the deck with that beautiful view of the bay watching the osprey and the boats. It was nice to take our floats, kayak and paddling board and relax on the water. There are great restaurants very close to the house. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful View!

Although there was a minor mix-up with our reservation (on the owner's side), the owner promptly handled it seemlessly. Communication was excellent. The home was clean and inviting. The view was beautiful and the sunrise we woke up to was breathtaking. Thank you for making our stay welcoming.
