Darjeeling surroundings were more beautiful then the city itself that is quite noisy and polluted. We must go outside the city to really enjoy the tea plantations, calm and serenity.

Kalimpong is a small hill town nestled in the Himalayas. Its less touristy thus calm and offers long walks, treks, meditation spots, exploring local market, nice places to eat and drink and above all happy people. This picture is taken from the top floor room of Alaknanda Resort run by a friendly Mrs Subba. A nice place to stay.
