Dalat Palace Heritage Hotel

Dalat Palace Heritage Hotel

8/10 Good
"Room was clean well cared for, but on a few nights there were mosquitos, recommend a small tube mosquito repellant spray. Same for evening dinning in the dinning room. for legs and ankles and any exposed skin, like hands. Hot water becomes SCALDING HOT fast so be careful especially with children, I had minor burns on 3 or 4 ocassions WITHIN JUST A COUPLE SECONDES on one I ran to get ice, very painful. A brief warm or hot shower is possible but becomes cold quickly. Yes, scalding to cold, or cold to scalding in a few seconds. The staff was totally devoted to guest and seemed to go the extra mile plus- plus to provide what ever was needed for a guest desires, and comfort. But the overall conditions of the aging facility limited staff’s abilities to provide as much as they tried to provide, giving the limitations the staff was a 100000% or more perfect. Breakfast focused mostly on Asian food and was excellent in variety and quality but for westerners could be not understandable and problematic without Asian exposure to such foods taste. I have had the exposure and put on kilos and belt hole increases because of some very serious great dished I could not resist a second or more returns for more. A few things I suspect were somewhat a mixture from the days of the French presence such as the many bakery breads, all excellent recipes. All this in taste I highly recommend for all to try. Truly family friendly children seemed to fit right in at the tables and buffets."

"Close walking distance to many tourists attractions. The building is quite old but clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good and overall a good deal at the price. "
