The staff was beyond great - the resort overbooks guests and has to put into another property which is disappointing since the vacation was booked at secrets resort, not at a family resort.

Poorly operated and focused driven on pressure sales of Hyatt membership. Poor and limited food quality. Broken and nonfunctional, poolside lounge, chairs, room telephone. No courtesy shuttle to and from airport. No amenities. App is nonfunctional and doesn’t serve a purpose. Pour overall.

Amenities by far was the worst . The restaurants ran out of stuff when it got on the closer side to closing on each meal. Example don’t go to the Buffett after midway because they will not bring out more food . The bars had slim choices . The preferred had more but once they ran out it wasn’t restocked for many days . The entertainment was less than stellar as far as options . The entertainment staff were all amazing though . The preferred lounge hot food was rarely restocked if it ran out . So if may peopl were checking in then it was gone in under 15 minutes and wouldn’t be refilled until the next meal change . It was even worse when many people checking in had to wait more than 4 hours for a room after 3pm were stuck waiting there . The Bordeaux was the least consistent as far as food quality than the others . Our food was very overcooked more than twice . Braised beef should never be like jerky . Most bread we got offered at any restaurant was rock hard and dried out . The most consistent food we had was room service and the was all easy foods . The resort seemed short staffed or felt that way . Towels were so hard to come by even before 10 am when the pool bars open . Overall the least favorite place to stay for Christmas. There weren’t any great activities for th day . We did participate in the few they had because the staff was amazing . Miguel at the preferred pool bar and Irving for the entertainment Staff stood out as exceptional for sure . There were others too

The Entertainment Staff was top notch, along with the wait staff! Our rooms were okay, old and dated but we had a clean-comfortable bed and hot water! Mahi Mahi, Fish Tacos and Chicken Wings were wonderful!

After welcome bottle gone(small bicardi) resort would not replace, what am i supposed to do for drinks at my swimout pool i paid for. Spirits are supposed to be unlimited. Hostess at french restaurant told us we needed a reservation when we didn’t. I was really disappointed with my experience at this resort!!!!

Staff were awesome. Resort was not too crowded and pleasant. Our ocean view suite had the stink of sewage. Mattress was very old and had two distinct dips in it. Food was mediocre. It's very close to the reefs and convenient for scuba diving.

The room smelled, the food was terrible. They try to sell you a time share from the moment we got here. A 50 min massage in $280 per.person. I feel ripped off.

Our room had water getting in from the rain, while there our room only got cleaned ones, the pools are freezing, nobody wa getting in the pool because the water is colder than the ocean (yall need a heater!!! Dreams has a heater, yall should also!!) The food is not all that, the menu is very limited, your rooms are very out of date, yall need a make over. We been to other secrets hotels, the cozumel secrets, is by far the worst, old hotel, food very limited, pools are a cold disappointment, the ocean here is beautiful, that was the only highlight.

5 restaurants and nowhere close to enough seating. Every time we tried, we had to wait for close to 2 hours, so we settled for the mediocre buffet options. Pool bars closed at 5:00. Ridiculous!

The property was nice.Not very well lit at night so walking was hard.Not a lot of variety of food at the buffet same repetitive food every day I wouldn’t really consider it buffet. if you dine at one of the restaurants when you left there, you had to go to the buffet very very limited portions in the restaurants. The drinks were subpar.We never got coffee pods in our room.The maker was there asked several time for coffee never got any.Lack of nightly entertainment for a adult only resort.Beach towels.If you did not get one when you first seen them filling the bins you did not get one for the day.When asked for one we were told they were filling the bins 3 hours later still no towels.A lot of returning guest told us it was going down hill food,drinks,service.Nice people but would not return.Oh we ordered room service one night we could not get into the 1 open restaurant we called at 9pm we were told 45mins..ok had to deal with that or go hungry well at 2:15am the knocked on our door with the food we ordered at 9pm.needless to say my husband was NOT happy .

The room was dirty and not as advertised. The food was inedible and the staff was unhelpful. A maintenance worker walked into our room unannounced to “check the water” which made us feel uncomfortable because he knocked once and immediately opened the door without waiting for us to let him in. The room wasn’t stocked upon arrival. We checked out after 2 hours to go to a different resort and they promised a full refund but still none has been initiated. Very disappointed.

The resort needs major upgrades & repairs, our room was okay. The staff tries real hard to accommodate, under staffed(rooms still being cleaned at 5:00pm). App not working properly and/or not being updated with restaurant daily menus. Lack of information no daily activity board to be found with activities/shows.

I was not impress with the room, supposed to be a junior suite ocean view but it was small, on the 4th floor and the elevator was damaged, the door did not work either, card keys did not open, one day we have no Air Conditioning, the room was almos 80*F, it took them morevthan 12h to fix it, another day without hot water, they refused to give us another room !!! The Hotel need URGENT maintance and upgrades !!

Cons- the bathroom drains emitted a foul odor that would come and go. Lobby is not as fancy as others we’ve been to. Entertainment is a bit lacking. Time share/membership sales are very pushy if you show a slight interest. We sat to hear their pitch just to get the $300 credit- at our final no, they got rude. The last guy (they sendi different guys to try to change your mind) told us “next time, don’t agree to hear their speil” like we wasted Their time! Lol! I told him, “ perhsps you shouldn’t try to entice the guests with the free credits! Pros- we got a free snorkeling and sunset cruise for hearing out their pushy sales pitch. Clean rooms- bed comfortable-great beach- great snorkeling-love the pier for jumping off. Pier is convenient for pick up to the excursions we took. All the other staff were very friendly and helpful.
