"This is a beautiful traditional style French house of the region. It is a bit rustic in places, but absolutely packed with charm and character. The location is amazing - what you see in the photos is exactly how it is. The river is a 60-second walk away with easy access in and out of the water. "We stayed for 3 nights to explore the area in and around Bordeaux. The cabin/chalet was exactly as described. It is in the lovely back garden of a home in a suburb of Bordeaux. We were very comfortable after a busy day of site seeing and travelling about. There isn't much around it to walk to for dining, so we bought food on our way back at the end of day to eat in."

"Very clean pleasant gite offering a spot opposite it to rest. Nothing special to do in the closed surroundings apart canoë but great base to explore a little further: Dune de Pilat and bassin d’Arcachon, Bordeaux the oenologue tour is interesting including testings, Montbazillac and Saint Emilion without missing the historique part of Bergerac. "Nadine is an amazing host. She is very considerate and made us feel welcomed. She will go out of her way to help. The property was very clean and nicely appointed. The bedrooms upstairs were a bit hot but the weather was unusually hot for the time of year. It might be a good idea to invest in some air conditioning units for times when it is unbearable. We were very happy with our stay and Nadine was an excellent host."

This property is located away from downtown area, but easy to get Uber within minutes to take you wherever you want to go. Never had an issue getting an Uber during our 5-day stay.
