「This felt like staying as a guest in someone’s home. Hosts Alessandra and Guido are very welcoming. The property is so beautiful overlooking the valley with mountains to the side. We did not know there was a pool which was a fantastic surprise as we arrived in a heatwave. Dinner was a delicious pork chop on the first night and roast beef on the second. 「This is an extraordinary place to stay. Utterly beautiful views at all times, in all directions. The walk through vineyards and olive groves into Vinci is a pleasure, and the little town is a lovely example of Tuscany, with added interest of Leonardo. Easy to reach Pisa, Siena, Florence, San Gimingnano and the Ligurian coastal towns by car from here. Surrounding countryside and villages just stunning, especially along the Montebalno ridge. 「I actually book the wrong place. I thought we were staying in Florence. But wasn't a problem as we had a car. This is a really nice and cozy place. Andrea who runs it is really nice and you can tell he takes pride in this little place. Very clean. Paid parking outside the door. Free at night. 」
