"The inn was beautiful and the amenities were good; however, it lacked some of the niceties that made it really special. For example, the breakfast which was really quite good was served buffet style. The buffet was fine, but nothing was plated. Guests had to grab bread, muffins, and strudel from their plastic containers. Also when Olga made our omelets which were quite delicious, instead of walking the few feet to serve them, she called us to come and get them. Also our room and bedroom did not "dazzle." The toilet paper was very, very thin, no glasses were present, and we did not see the Wi-Fi sign-in posted anywhere. All in all we had a nice stay and would go back again. The infrastructure was beautiful; but since the inn lacked the small niceties that make staying a truly wonderful experience, we cannot say that it was exceptional and excellent."

"The house was amazing for our very large family over Thanksgiving. Clean, well stocked with everything you could possibly need, and plenty of room for both adults and kids to have their own areas. The host was very proactive getting us the arrival and departure information. We have rented over a dozen homes over the years for our family Thanksgiving get together and this one was by far the best."

Would have appreciated a print out of the house and area information so everyone could easily review it and the lack of supplied firewood was a surprise to everyone.Nice hikes and parks nearby, a day at Harper's Ferry Park was really nice, thanks to the Governor of West Virginia the Welcome Center was staffed and so helpful."

"Wonderful Family Retreat in PurcellvilleOur three-generation family of twelve stayed here in July, and it was the perfect home base for our time together. The house offered plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably, and the layout worked great for both quiet time and group gatherings.The large yard was a favorite — perfect for yard games and relaxing- as long as we limited it to mornings and evenings as July is hot in VA :). We even spotted deer a few times, which added a magical touch to our stay.When something unexpectedly broke on the 4th of July, we were so impressed that—even on a holiday—the owner responded quickly and made sure it was taken care of right away. That kind of attentiveness made us feel well cared for.The home was clean, well-equipped, and in a peaceful location that was still close to everything we needed. We made so many special memories and would absolutely recommend this home to other families or groups looking for a relaxing and roomy place to stay."
