"The property from the outside was very nice and the grounds are gorgeous. However, for the price, we were very disappointed. We booked a king bed with a balcony just for a night to relax. The room and bathroom was outdated. The refrigerator was old, not in good condition and smelled gross. We really wanted to use the pool and were told we couldn't reserve a spot until we checked in at 4pm. Once we checked in at exactly 4pm, they told us that all of the spots for the pool were already reserved and so we were not able to use the pool at all. The gentleman checking us in was quite rude and unhelpful. Even though there wasn't a line behind me, he rushed me and was impatient to answer any questions. All of the restaurants were closed due to COVID and we were not told this until we checked in even though I called twice before to make reservations and was told that we needed to make same day reservations. So then we planned to use room service (as the website says there is 24 hr room service) but room service was closed and we could only order from a condensed menu if we went directly to the bar for pick up. This was only open until 5-9PM. WiFi was not free unless you are a Marriot member. The website did not disclose any of these inconveniences and we would not have booked this hotel if we had known before booking. This may have been a good place to stay if we were golfing but for a night away, the only positive was the bed was comfortable.
