Clean, cozy and relaxing stay
Wonderful place to relax and spend time with family after a nice trip to North Cascades. A very clean and well equipped kitchen. Quite a few board game options and movies (DVD) to pass time. Overall its a wonderful place to stay with family and friends. Also, Cheryl is a wonderful host and very responsive.

Beautiful Cabin
Our group of 6 stayed in the cabin while hiking in the area. The cabin was clean, roomy, and very comfortable. It is one of the most well appointed rentals we've used with plenty of dishware, cookware, towels, and amenities, including coffee, wine, and homemade cookies (which were great after our hikes). The owner was quick to answer questions, check in and check out were a breeze, and the directions were easy to follow. The location was great for hikes in the North Cascades National Park and surrounding area. Everyone in our group was very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We will stay again if we are in the area.

Perfect location
The cabin had everything we needed and was in a great location. We hiked Cascades and were close enough to trails. We loved walking down to the river and had an eagle go right by us. It was quiet, clean and comfortable.

All you could ask for and more…
My boyfriend and I stayed here while on vacation hiking in North Cascades. I highly recommend Cheryl’s place to anyone looking to stay in the area. It was easy to get to and so well appointed! The snickerdoodle cookies that so many other guests commented on were amazing, and the fresh herbs were an awesome touch for cooking. The cabin was clean and tidy and the hot tub was super nice to relax in / ease tired muscles after a long day of hiking. It’s a short drive to the grocery store in Concrete and several places to eat, which is nice when you’ve been on a mountain all day and don’t want to think too much about what’s for dinner. :) Again … HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Skagit Valley Weekend
Wonderful cabin in the Skagit Valley. We used this as a base for our four night stay seeing North Cascades National Park, Anacortes, and all points in between. Really appreciated a lot of the small touches this owner/host provided to make our stay more enjoyable. The house was a real treat and had everything we needed.

Spacious and Comfortable Cabin
This is a great property with plenty of amenities and tons of space. The cabin is very clean and modern with a very nice kitchen. The location is a close enough to the national park for day access and also has some nice areas even closer such as the Skagit river and Baker lake.

House is nice, surrounded by trailers if that bothers you or not. All amenities needed were provided with good information on what to see or visit. House was clean and in good condition. Host is responsive and kind in turn. Would recommend staying at this home if you are in the area.

Great base for North Cascades
Got in late but easy instructions from host on getting in. Spacious, super clean, all you need in the kitchen. Washer and dryer came in handy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cheryl thought of everything!
All the necessities were there: Enough dishes (and then some) for all day long for eight of us, all the cooking equipment you could want, extra toiletries for those who forgot them (ahem), lots of storage space, washer/dryer, plenty of room to spread out, lots of sleeping options, extra towels and bedding, and little instructional signs everywhere so all our questions were easily answered. And then so many little extras that really made us feel comfortable and cared for: Fresh-baked cookies, a bottle of wine, lots of outdoor space, a beautiful view, two TVs (!), tons of videos and board games, hot tub, a dining table we could all fit around, extra chairs ... Plus! -- when we had an issue with the Internet connection, Cheryl was ON IT and it was fixed right away. The house was spotless and comfortable, the host was responsive, helpful, and kind, and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Loved It!
My family of 6 absolutely loved our stay here! We just hung out together playing board games for a long weekend and never left. There were several thoughtful touches and Cheryl communicated wonderfully. Will definitely be coming back!

Cheryl had this house in perfect condition for our stay. She has so many thoughtful extras and details that it will ruin other Vrbo’s for you. Our stay there was perfect for my family of 5 plus my parents. We had plenty of room, enjoyed the kitchen, games, hot tub and even the sweet Kitty that lives next door! It was a great location for us to visit North Cascades NP and we would absolutely stay here again!

Great location
Our goal in staying here was to be able to easily reach some hikes in the North Cascades but it turned out we really liked the area around Concrete, too. The house is great and easily accommodated 6 adults. The additional sleeping lacks privacy but we didn't need it. It was clean and had everything we needed to cook and hang out. We spent a lot of time on the back deck which has a beautiful greenbelt view and would have a view of Mt Baker when the leaves are gone. I didn't find the neighborhood to be any different than any other small town neighborhood so I'm not sure what the reviewer was talking about as far as that goes. The immediate neighbors were very friendly. We did get to meet the host and she's lovely and helpful. She gave us some hike tips and local info. We enjoyed our stay so much, I've already booked next year and added a day to enjoy the area longer.

Great host and comfortable house close to Western entrance of North Cascades
Very cozy and spacious home close to North Cascades and state parks with a great and welcoming host. The bathrooms and kitchen appliances have been updated and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed the board games and movies in the evenings. We were very comfortable staying here and it was a great base for trips to the western side of North Cascades (including access to Cascade Pass trail), although a little far from the eastern side, but we did venture there as well.

The north side requires driving around the west side of the mountain, unfortunately, as there are no roads up and over. It is a beautiful drive though.

a great house and host, but no river here right now
The house is the best in the neighborhood. The host is very nice, and provided cookies and wine as a welcome gift. There was even a hot tub, which we didn't expect, and thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen was very well supplied, which was important to us. The neighborhood, honestly, leaves something to be desired and I personally didn't feel safe walking alone around the block, even in daylight. This is the first time I've ever experienced this discomfort in a rural area. I thought I might be imagining things, but there was a police crisis team that came to visit a couple of doors down during our stay. There are many houses with trash and junked cars in their front yard, and threatening warning signs, which seemed quite bizarre for being near such a nice house and seemingly prime location next to the river. Also, the access to the river was completely blocked on the property, by overgrown foliage, and down the block, by construction fencing and noisy construction equipment. The river access was one of the reasons I rented there, so that was a big disappointment. I think renters should be aware that this is the case. I do believe listing this as having river access is misleading until there is some access. All in all, I still give it 5 stars for the house, and I did love the location of Concrete and being near state and national park access.

Thank you for your great review. Unfortunately, we can't pick our neighbors, though there are some good ones. I'm thinking you must have got my listing confused with a different one. My listing clearly states that there is a hot tub. I also do not have river access anywhere in my listing. Access from the property is just not possible with the high bank. I don't even advertise the trail you saw at the park because it's not generally well maintained. Ironically during your stay, it was under construction. We're hoping for some great improvements. For river access, I recommend either Rasar Park or Howard Miller Steelhead Park, both are about 10 miles/minutes from the cabin in either direction. I'm sorry you felt misled, but very thankful you enjoyed our cabin.

Peaceful river home
We enjoyed our stay here so much we did not want to leave. The host was thoughtful and available in the event we needed her. Concrete is a very interesting town rich with history. It is also very close to the west entrance to North Cascades National Park. We did a few amazing hikes on the west side of the park. And the the 5Bs Bakery is a must!

Excellent stay at Cedargrove Cabin
This is a terrific cabin with a great host to match. I visited the North Cascades last weekend and wanted a spacious and comfortable place to come home to after challenging hikes. Cedargrove was perfect. I just wish I had time to use the hot tub in the back yard! Before my trip, I realized that a lot of the top hikes will be covered in snow and considered cancelling the trip in favor of a different spot. I asked Cheryl a few questions and she assured me that I would have no shortage of things to do. She was very much right. The weather was warm and sunny when I arrived and I was able to hike 3 of the best hikes in the park despite the snow. The cabin is nicely appointed and feels very welcoming. The bedding is very comfortable and the A/C unit worked great. The back yard has beautiful flowers...the entire cabin has a very peaceful vibe. When I returned at night, a cute white rabbit greeted me 2 nights in a row. The area is very quiet and about 5 minutes to the main road that becomes N. Cascades Highway.

World Class Cabin
