"Carmela couldn't have been a better host - she went above and beyond to provide information and additional amenities to cater for our group (eg. providing advice and a microwave for one of our babies with allergies). The units were spotless and the pool was regularly cleaned (Carmela's husband did this so they were there semi-regularly). There was a technical fault with some of the air-con units but Carmela did everything to rectify it. They also left us local vegetables which were delicious!...

"We, a family of 4 spent 9 fantastic days in this house. Fabrizio and his family are great hosts, very service minded and friendly. The house fullfilled you expectations to the full. We like to cook so better cooking utensiles would have been nice. But apart from that everything was perfect. The garden is green with wonderfull pine trees, almond trees and olive trees, giving enough shade from the sun, and a nice pool to chill in. "We booked to stay for 1-week but EasyJet cancelled our flights twice. Sadly our stay was reduced to 3 nights. Diego our host was amazing. On arrival, after a 5 hour drive he welcomed us with a home cooked meal and wine. His Sicilian breakfast was gorgeous. He couldn’t do enough to help us and showed us incredible generosity. If you want to get away from it all, stay in the Regusa countryside with easy access to the beautiful Baroque towns and beaches, then look no further. We’ll be back....

"Upon arrival, the property appeared unkempt and tired. At check in we discovered the swimming pool was not Included in the fee and would cost another 30€ for one half day. At the pool terrace, we were removed by staff as our pool passes did not include sitting at poolside! We were sent to the “garden” area which was a weedy, garbage strewn area away from the pool. Our room was very, very dated and unmaintained, including several lights and the television not functioning, no air conditioning and dirty bathroom vanity. We were advised that the central air conditioning is controlled by the front desk and would be turned on, which it never was, or was set so high as to be useless. The internet was spotty and very slow. The mattress was old, lumpy and had a huge dip in the center, making for a terrible night’s sleep. All in all, absolutely our worst stay in Sicily."

Lovely stay

"Great little hotel, very close walking distance to the key sights and restaurants to visit in Ragusa Ibla. Very clean as well. The only thing to note is that the hotels.com posting mentions parking but this is actually on street parking a few minutes walk away dependant on availability and not guaranteed. "

"A beautiful property in a stunning picturesque setting. Full of character & charm, great breakfast & dinner available. Bathroom could do with updating and rooms feel very dark. Biggest drawback was our room which we booked for a family of 4 and were given a room right in the centre of the courtyard by the restaurant and the children’s bedroom was adjacent to the noisy kitchen. Needless to say it was very disturbing and loud and the hotel were not able to help or move us, which was a real shame and put a downer on our stay. "

Quiet and nice property

"The property is kept clean and the pool is nice. The people are nice who run it. It is very quiet and the beds are nice. The one thing I would report is the mold in the windows and bathroom (this is something all 13 hotels we stayed at had a problem with - especially since there are no bathroom fans in any of the Italy properties) I am picky about mold so I am letting others know. I let the property know that the windows and grout/shower had mold. "
