My family really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful home and a great location with a great view! Close enough to Manitou springs downtown location to restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location right between Manatou and Woodland Park. And the plus was on the way to the North Pole and near Wines of Colorado. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our two fur babies enjoyed it also.
We loved the location of this property! So close to where we wanted to go but also a secluded mountain feeling. Plenty of space for 6 people and the balcony had an amazing view!
This property was great for a 2 night getaway with our teenage son. It was large and clean but a bit dated (which we didn't mind). We were grateful the space was cool even though outside it was 100 degrees. We enjoyed the private patio space and the decks upstairs. Although the space is "pet friendly" there isn't much space outside to walk the dogs as it's next to a busy road.
This house was perfect for the 3 of us and had lots of extra room. It was perfectly located for our trip and activities we did while there. Great view also!!!!!! Will definitely use them again when coming back in the future.
Location is perfect and beautiful. Great host and property! Our 2nd year here at this property and we will continue to come here every year. Very clean and organized!
This house is short but gorgeous drive outside of Manatou Springs. A quiet, fabulous respite from the crowds in all the attractions, large and laid out well for good breathing space. Loved chilling in the Adirondack chairs after a long day out and about.
We liked the location with easy access to highway 24 and attractions. Bed comfortable, good shower, outside seating on decks and patios. Safe parking. We enjoyed eating on patio at nearby creekside restaurant, Colorado Wines. (Excellent service and food). Communication with host was excellent. Would stay here again.
Great place! Close to everything that you would want to do in Colorado Springs & Manitou Springs. House is super clean and well maintained. Outside seating area is a great spot to hang out after a long day of hiking. Definitely will book again!!
All the descriptions are accurate AND the glowing reviews are too! In addition, this place really feels like home - even in a winter storm. Comfort, warmth, accessories, decorations, amenities, technology, everything is top notch. Walk up the hill right behind the hill far enough and you’ll be at 14,115 looking at the world. Better be fit! 1 minute drive up the road below the house and you’ll reach the north pole and Santas workshop, great for younger kids. Another minute further up and you enter the pikes Peak toll road to the top, through a curvy beautiful road with many things to see, even mountainous lakes. Go back east on the highway for five minutes and you reach manitou Springs, a few more minutes to cave of the winds, less than 10 minutes to Garden of the Gods. This place is a beautiful place to see Colorado up close. One caveat that older folk should consider – the only bathroom and two bedrooms are upstairs so if you have back knee or hip problems, it can be a challenge. There are other locations nearby, perhaps I’m with single-story, but I worked it out for five days and it worked great. But I’m not fully limited by it.I love the connection and the communications with Kelly, who was always responsive. We loved being able to be with the dogs, and one absolutely loved exploring the hills above and below the house, even with the fairly deep snow. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our stay. I think the living room could use a recliner but otherwise everything we needed was there. The drive to the house left me speechless, its beautiful!! Check out Ferns Diner and The Pantry if you are hungry.
Property was all as advertised & dealing with host was a pleasure. Our little Yorkie enjoyed the hillside in back but he so wanted to chase the deer! Especially enjoyed the front balcony view.
The location is ideal. The duplex unit is friendly. The hosts are very considerate with amenities provided (i.e. decent mattress and stocking some household goods) and their description is accurate. You are close to attractions in the area; yet, feel far away from civilization. We had a wonderful vacation there.
Delightful! It was a lovely property, with a good kitchen, nice bedrooms, and a great bathroom on the second floor. It was very quiet and very private. It was among a lot of trees but yet had a good view, see pictures. The property was very clean and very well equipped, in the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. The owner and Caitlin and her partner were extremely responsive and very promptly fixed the one thing that needed fixing. Couldn't have been any better! The property was very nicely located. It was close to Pike's peak (we took the cog train and loved it) and the many other things to do outside, in and around Colorado Springs. There was a great restaurant just a minute or two away by car, Wines of Colorado. We ate there about 4 times. Just minutes away in Woodland Park were many other great restaurants, a grocery, drugstores, etc. Very convenient. There is no air conditioning, but we really didn't need it (mid July). We even put the heat on one night. We definitely recommend it and would go back!
Property was just as described. Home worked well for our family with children. Location was great, making trips to sight-see a breeze. Weather was hot (96) during our stay and the house has no AC. This was not an issue, plenty of fans available - opened windows at night and closed them in the AM. House felt comfortable and cool. Having in house laundry is a great perk!
Could use some mixing bowls (and pepper) but made do. Thanks for the great home base!
We primarily picked this spot due to the price and there was not a weight limit for our dog. The gate that is pictured is not present, so we couldn’t let our dogs walk around the yard as hoped, and there needs to be a couple more bath towels and kitchen towels. Other than that, this spot was an excellent stay, well maintained, and the views from the balcony are gorgeous. If you have any concern about being next to someone, the only time we could hear our neighbors were if we happened to be in the bathrooms at the same time, you could hear the toilet flush. If you’re in the area, I would highly recommend this listing!
The location is near Manitou Springs and Pikes Peak but felt remote & away from the crowds. The home is nicely furnished and comfortable however the highway is nearby & you can hear traffic day & night. There are a couple of different outside areas - we especially enjoyed the 2nd floor balcony with the view. The kitchen could use additional items like more than just one small sauce pan, serving spoons, a drip coffee maker and ice cube trays (ice maker didn’t work). The door lock was a code which was convenient but I would have liked to have an inside bolt for security at night to know that someone couldn’t come in if they have the code.
We enjoyed the location of this property. It was close to a lot of places we wanted to visit. The property owner was very accommodating and responded in a timely manner. I will say the cleanliness could be better. The pictures are not very recent because the place looks like it's a little worn down and needs some TLC.
Property is very nice. Location is amazing. Very private and easy to get to. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this to anyone planning to visit this area.
