Cabin, Dog Friendly, Hot Tub, Views, 6 acres, Wheelchair Accessible
This home provides so much of what Colorado has to offer. The setting is quiet with amazing sunsets and a wide open views, including of mountains. The kitchen provides lots of convenient work space on granite counter tops. It has a gas stove and an island that seats two people. The kitchen opens to a family room with a lovely hearth that holds a wood burning stove. Abundant windows provide lots of Colorado sunshine. One of the bathrooms has a large roll in shower with two shower heads. There are huge decks that are on 3 sides. Two of these decks provide wheelchair accessibility during the summer (but are closed during the winter) and the third one holds a hot tub that faces west to take advantage of the views. (This deck is not wheelchair accessible at any time). The property is easy to get to and is within easy driving distance to many attractions such as Florissant Fossil Beds, Mueller State Park, Cripple Creek, Royal Gorge, and reservoirs with great fishing. Colorado Springs is a little over an hour away with outstanding places to visit like Garden of the Gods and the Air Force Academy. There are many things to do between our cabin and Colorado Springs, including Woodland Park with lots of restaurants, stores, and activities. Other mountain towns are wonderful to visit during your stay such as Breckenridge - about a 1 1/2 hour drive.

We loved the cabin, the hot tub, the wildlife, the location and the view. The only thing I could possibly complain about was none of the knives were sharp enough to cut a steak after we grilled, but that was such a minor inconvenience that we really didn’t care.

2nd time staying here, we can't say enough good words on how we enjoyed our stay, we love our time there, saw deer most mornings, close to Cripple Creek/Lake George/Canon City area, lots of outdoor things to do. I would give this place a 10 if it was possible. No complaints.

This property was east to find, laid out as described, easy to “check in” (all we needed was a code), and better stalked in the kitchen than any place I’ve ever stayed! There wasn’t a tool, dish, or pan we wanted that wasn’t there. The cabin was neat and provided everything we could have needed. I’d definitely stay there again!

This was a nice peaceful visit. So quiet and serene. We would definitely return. The view is great, awesome for star gazing on a clear night. Nature all around with visits from deer, hummingbirds, hawks and crows. The place was very clean, well-stocked and the hot tub is a bonus. Communications with the host was awesome, friendly and very helpful. Many great things to do and explore nearby. Or just chill out on the deck and hang out.

Everything about this cabin met all of our expectations and then some. I cant recall the cabin details expalining that there wasn't any A/C but we were provided with plenty of fans to make up for it. Would definitely recommend this cabin!

We really enjoyed this beautiful family cabin. It was perfect for our family. My husband & I took our 9yr & 11 yr old grandsons. The house was very clean. The rooms were perfect for each of us. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife. Property was close enough to go see fun things with the grandkids. Then come back and have a nice peaceful relaxing soak in the hot tub. Dan & Jennifer are wonderful hosts. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful property!

We enjoyed a nice walk around the area, had a nice fire in the wood stove, played games and cooked a nice dinner. Slept very well in the comfortable king size bed. And, watched a buck and 6 does walk past the house.

We had a great time in this wonderful cabin. We took our granddaughter to see the sites. We went to Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, went horseback riding and white water rafting. We stayed busy and it was nice to come back to this comfortable home. It has everything that a person would need. Quiet, great views and communication was great. The beds were comfortable, there are nice drapes to keep the room dark so you can sleep in as long as you want. We slept great.

Family of four with 2 GSPs stayed for the weekend. Great location south of Florissant at 8400 ft. Cozy living room with wood burning stove was perfect spot to unwind. Ample kitchen space with huge island to prepare all meals. Hot tub on enclosed deck for relaxing while dogs roam and lounge. Dish network in living room but no smart TVs for streaming. Very relaxing trip!

Unfortunately we had a last minute family matter that didn’t allow us to actually stay here. There was great communication with the owners though and look forward to booking again!

The cabin is immaculately clean, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook a meal of any kind, the decks have wonderful views, and the hot tub is the cherry on top after a day spent outdoors. The location was perfect for our plans. It’s a short scenic drive to Cripple Creek where we enjoyed Donkey Derby Days. Florrisant Fossil beds are a very short drive away and is a fascinating place to visit. Since we all love to fish, we spent the most time there. Eleven Mile Lake SP is another short, scenic drive and provides opportunities for fishing, paddle boarding, and hiking in beautiful surroundings. A big hi light was watching the peak of the Persiad meteor shower under dark skies that cleared up after a day of clouds just in time for the show!

Jennifer is the most thoughtful and caring host I’ve had the pleasure of talking to thus far. She was quick to respond to any questions I had. She let us stay an extra day LAST MINUTE when I asked her. She absolutely did not have to considering our stay was just through the 22nd. She helped me figure out how to go about doing that through Vrbo. The house itself was an absolute dream! She had the kitchen fully stocked with all sorts of pots, pans and dishes that we would end up using. I can tell how much love went into the place through the decorations she had down to the entire game /toy closet she had fully stocked. My boys had the best time playing with the basketball goal she had on the deck to exploring the land! There was no shortage of natural wildlife that visited the property. It was truly a magical spot! The house stayed the perfect temperature depending on if we chose to have the windows open or closed. So definitely no need to worry about the “no ac” feature. It was great!! You can tell the hot tun is taken care of nicely as well as all of the other amenities on the property. It was like a family home away from
home! We had to drive a ways to get to manitou springs but we didn’t mind. The views to and from town are breathtaking so it wasn’t boring whatsoever. My husband and I will definitely be brining our sons back here!

We had such a wonderful time in this cabin on the hillside. The cabin is well appointed, with great beds, everything you could need in the kitchen, cable TV, a grill, decks with tables and chairs, breathtaking views across the valley from the living room and decks, clean, and handicap accessible (there were even dog supplies). Jennifer, our host, went above and beyond to help us!

We really enjoyed our stay! There were many thoughtful touches such as the robes for the hot tub, coffee, books, games, etc! The views are beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet. The hosts even offered to block out one more day for us when we had a flat tire the day we were supposed to check out. The beds were comfortable. I would rate it a 4.5 if I could. The only reason I didn’t give my review a 5 star rating was because (I do not mean to offend anyone) the couch and one of the chairs in the family room have definitely been a favorite place to relax, but they are still fine to use. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in here with our 3 teenagers and 2 dogs. It was a wonderful house with lots of space. We really enjoyed the hot tub and all the gated off areas for our dogs to be outside safely. The house was very well stocked and clean. We also saw lots of deer near the house. We would definitely stay here again!
