"Everything you need, bonus biscuits and half pint of milk on arrival very lovely. Slightly disappointed as had visions of morning tea at cast iron table (pictured) but unable to locate... bench out front nr bins, laundry, defib not same vibes but very lovely area, local pub great, nice walk down lanes, sadly chip shop was shut, store/post office beautiful with great selection of supplies. Local milk vending machine worth the walk. Took a trip to lundy, highly recommend. Other half not keen on lack of shower, didn't bother me. If you want more than pub and shop will need to drive.Housekeeper very kindly replaced broken bin day one. Overall a very lovely little cottage, well equipped."

"Lovely little cottage very near the sea in a quiet little Devon hamlet. Perfect for getting away from it all. Property was spotless. Greeted by a bunch of flowers and a bottle of fizz in the fridge which was a lovely touch. Coffee drinkers should bring ground coffee for the cafetiere. No sign of any critters in the attic that a previous review mentioned. No pubs within walking distance, but can recommend The Hoops Inn for great food and a coaching inn vibe, The Old Smithy Inn for great food and a cosy rural village pub vibe, and The Farmers Arms for something a bit higher end (but still casual) with amazing food (including a tasting menu if you're super hungry)."

"Excellent week away. The chalet was great and in a good location including the site it was on. The host was great, and also included some nice touches like treats for when we arrived and balloons for the kids. Highly recommend and will definitely bool again. "

"Great location. Chalet was clean and tidy and was a good base for us to explore the local beaches. We have stayed on the same holiday park several times. This was definitely the best chalet we have stayed in. We would love to come back!"

"Lovely clean chalet,lovely location,could do with a bit more kitchen utensils,like smaller knives and bbq tongs and maybe a bathroom mirror,but otherwise we had a fabulous stay and was sad to have to leave......Thankyou x"

"The property was as listed. Very well equipped kitchen. Good hot shower and large bath. Short drive to most places. Definitely need transport. Lovely to sit out listening and watching the birds in and out of their nests. Pitch black dark at night, great for star gazing and so quiet.Donkeys in the back field. Downsides ..... smelt very musty & damp. Clothes hanging up felt damp and towels didnt dry.Too many spiders in every room ( and have been bitten) and in the cupboards in the kitchen. The dust webs visable. Whole place needs a good vaccum. ... used it once but the vacuum smelt so bad.Rugs old and dirty and had dog hair on.The heating didnt come on as instructed . .. just turn the thermostat up and it will come on, well it didnt so must have been on some sort of timer. Strict instructions not to touch the boiler !The weather improved thank goodness so we spent most time out. The hairdryer is a fire hazard, so blocked up with old fluff that it kept cutting out.... only used it for couple minutes the whole week"

"Nice well equipped property with the facilities needed to use it as a base to explore the area and have day trips out from. Good communication from a nice host with suggestions to visit the area and a nice welcome pack which was a nice touch. Property has a freezer which isn't listed (but no ice maker which is listed), a good selection of games and DVDs for the TV in the 2nd bedroom. Good facilities at the site although no facility to pre-book general swimming sessions so might be worth going elsewhere (we went to Bude Leisure Centre about 30 mins drive away as they had a slide and wave machine!) Milky Way Adventure Park 5 mins away is highly recommended, avoid the Big Sheep as that was basically a very expensive soft play and not enough to keep everyone occupied for the day - it cost about 3 times more than it was worth unfortunately!) Overall a nice stay and a pleasant location - recommended! Thanks!"
