「Everything was nice, clean, quiet and staff was friendly」

「The Ashville Guesthouse is a charming property just on the outskirts of Westport. The room was spacious, clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared with something for every taste. The full Irish breakfast was excellent. Hilary and Oliver are exceptional hosts and make their guests feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this B&B and will book again if my travels take me back to the area.」

「The stay was really nice. My only suggestion is to furnish the rooms a bit more. The space was huge but not very well appointed--very plain and not welcoming if that makes any sense. Breakfast was fantastic and the front desk very friendly and helpful. Great location-walk to town about 15-20 minutes depending on which way you're going-downhill to town and uphill on way back. Not too bad at all. I gave it 4 stars because of the lack of decor in ours.」

「Pretty location but a bit far from town. 10 Euro each way to Uber. Walk to town thru Westport House was nice but wouldn't do it at night. Wish they had a gym and self service laundry. Parking overnight across the street was much easier than behind the hotel. Breakfast room was beautiful and staff attentive. 」

The front desk is exceptionally helpful in responding to questions, looking up information online, and attending to guests' needs. 「Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....
