The property is just as described by the owners. We felt right at home once we settled in. The living room is cozy and comfortable and our group of four found spots to claim on the furniture after a long day of 'touristing'.
There were places for our clothing on hangers and in drawers in the bedrooms, but we needed to be creative with the then-empty cases as there is no main closet. I didn't find it to be an issue as my family packs light, but it would help for someone who must bring a lot to have nesting suitcases.
The views from the porch or the dockside are relaxing, and it was amazing to see the large ships glide by silently across the river. Having a covered porch was a bonus as we had one rainy day that we could still be outside but dry.
The washer and dryer were full-sized; much nicer and convenient than the combo machines we've used in other homes.
There is plenty to do in the neighboring towns and many good places to eat. I've got to shout out; O'Briens and River Bottom Bar and Grill in Clayton and Riley's by the River in Alexandria Bay. The restaurant next door, Foxy's, was a great option one evening.
On top of a nice place, the people we met on the road or working in establishments were welcoming, which made this trip even better.
Definitely a place I'd consider on my 'return' list!
