"The staff was friendly and sometimes have helpful, depending on who you would get. The self parking garage is pretty tight, so don’t take a big car in there. The hotel is central to the south part of the city, which is useful depending on where you’re going. This is kind of an odd duck hotel because I think it’s ready to four-star, but it could really easily be a three star and it’s definitely not a five star. The rooms are definitely outdated, but not inconvenient or dirty. The shower is really good, which is a huge plus. I wouldn’t stay there again and I try a different hotel in the city, but it’s not terrible for the price."

"This is an excellent hotel for Guggenheim Museum. Clean, courteous, close and well appointed. One of the best hotels we have stayed during our month long tour of Spain and Portugal. A bit pricey, but then everything in Bilbao is. "

"Very poor welcome at reception. The man didn't even smile or greet me, just asked 'do I have a reservation'. Room was too warm and the air conditioning didn't cool the room down sufficiently, couldn't sleep properly. I drank the complimentary coffee, didn't get replenished so had no hot drink in my room for the remainder of my stay."

"The shared spaces are lovely. They really make an effort to make this place feel comfortable, clean and welcoming. The actual room though are not great. Just bunk beds with curtains. I guess it is nice to have the toilet, sink and shower in the room, but when you are sharing a room, I would have preferred having a more private space for showering etc. the street behind the room I stayed was incredibly noisy. I was able to tune it out but if you need quiet to sleep make sure your room is not facing the street. "

"Excellent location. Nice walk along the river to the Guggenheim and old town. Close to a tram stop. Good selection at breakfast and reasonable bar prices."
