It is a great property for out of towners or contractors like us to stay, clean, friendly efficient, helpful staff/owner. simplicity at check in and out. Walking distance to shops (across the road) restaurants and pubs within 5 - 10 min walk. Parking outside your door.

My room was clean and spacious which I was grateful for as I was staying for 5 nights. Hosts were welcoming and helpful and the location was fantastic being opposite the Mall. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to stay again next time I have need to be in Christchurch.

It was located nicely opposite the mall, which has plenty to shop. But there was road work directly outside the hotel, making it hard to detour and park. The guy at check-in counter was very helpful, even helped us to park the car. Good customer service.

Clean hotel as well as conveniently located

The reception, Helen, is helpful and understanding. I wanted to extend the stay until 6pm but unfortunately it was full. I have a raw salmon to take back to HK which they were very kind to freeze it for me until 6pm. The ambiance is very comfy.

Lock up your stuff

Motel was tidy and comfortable enough but after being out most of the day returned to find that someone had opened up a brand new packet of chocolate left on the kitchen counter, opened the silver paper, eaten some and then smashed the rest into smithereens- possibly to disguise the fact they had eaten it? However the open packet and silver paper was a give away! Complained to manager who was not unduly concerned at all anc just thrust $3 at my wife for the chocolate, telling her to leave the remains in our room. I just wonder what else the cleaning staff had their sticky fingers into? I would not use this motel again and I will make sure everyone I know hears about our experience through every form of media available to me!
