I enjoyed the quiet area the property was located in. The view of the horses and a few ponies from the front steps was definitely a plus. The house was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. The code for entry was a nice touch for not having to meet a person for access. Our main concern was the road the property was on. It is my understanding that private roads are the responsibility of the home owners to maintain but this one was by far the worst of all the private roads we saw. The land/ home owners definitely need to pitch in to fix it. Almost no gravel remained and the pot holes were deep, wide, and numerous. We were in a 4x4 vehicle and would not recommend this for a small car. As fas the house goes, it was comfortable but would have liked a closet upstairs or at least some kind of clothing rack to hang items on. We are less than 5’6” tall and sometimes hit our heads on the sloped ceilings. Aside from these things the stay was enjoyable and we had a relaxing time away from the norm.

Nice accommodations

It was like a home away from home. There were a lot of things the host seemed to consider that people would need on their vacation and not want to worry about or go without. The place was very nice and well cleaned.

We really enjoyed having the washer and dryer in the house, as well as all the other provided materials such as toiletries and hand soaps. The parking area was nice and big enough for 3 cars however, the road is very bumpy and sandy to get to the house. The smart tv was great for watching movies! We really enjoyed the house overall and may come back again this year for this rental.

Comfortable, Well-Kept Home in a Very Nice Locale

On a Whim is easy to get to and it is a very clean, comfortable place in a charming town. You are not far from impressive natural beauty, great beaches and excellent retaurants. We had no problem with communication with the owner and although our stay was very short, we had a great time.

Long weekend

The accommodations were very clean and we had everything we needed for our long weekend. The host was very responsive with our questions and allowed us our one request. It was a great weekend, and we were all able to unwind in comfort while catching up with everyone.

Had an emergency there because lost heat before 9pm on Thursday. No way to get in touch with anyone

First few days were great but the loss of heat then the loss of electric for Seniors was horrible 47 degrees meant moving to a motel at 10:45pm. Added expense and no way to get help, spoiled our trip!!!
