The beds are not comfortable and the pillows are very hard.. the towels are very old and seems that they have never been replaced. Apart from that, the area seems safe

Very basic. Fine for one night or two. Staff not very proficient in English which can make it hard trying to get directions - not their fault but ours for not speaking their language.

Great location, some rooms and property has been fixed up a bit but needs an overhall, especially the pool. Resturant closed during covid and hasn't reopened. That part of town could benefit from a simple resturant with good food at fair prices and a relaxing bar. Gran Marlon has a glass box resturant but its neither cheap nor very inviting. Hot water for a shower seems better but sometimes in the AM there is none. In the day taxis are cheap and easy to find but at 5 pm, or in the rain, or at night you can really get stuck. Chetumal needs more taxis!
