We were very comfortable staying at Malt Cottage. The rooms were cosy yet had enough room for our suitcases so we didn't have to unpack for the 3 nights. The appliances and decor were modern and clutter-free.
The cottage is just a short walk to the pubs/restaurants. Although it is on the main road through town, the noise didnt continue through the night, so our sleep wasn't disrupted.
(Sidenote - The Sherborne Inn was Fantastic, both staff and food. Friendly and helpful, especially pl
with dietary requirements. We found the staff at the Wheatsheaf Inn and to be quite unapproachable upon entry, even though we had a booking. After eye contact with numerous waiters and barstaff, we had to chase down a waiter to get seen to. The "Curious Wine Cellar" was even worse, and were not willing to discuss dietary requirements either.)
