"Perfect place to stay overnight before a flight from Stansted.
Lots of choice for your help yourself breakfast.
Wasn’t made aware that you could leave your car there and take a taxi to the airport. Would have definitely saved some money.
Maybe this could be highlighted more."

"I wish I’d just paid more to go to a chain hotel. This was terrible, the shower took 10 minutes to warm up by this point the bathroom was already flooded and the water was leaking into the bedroom floor. One of the great benefits was ‘FREE PARKING’ listed on their advert but I was in fact charged for parking for the few hours I was there overnight!!! Conveniently close to the airport but that’s about all that was good about this place."

"Everything just as listed. Room was spotless, everything clean bright and fully functional. Host communications were timely, informative, and replies to questions prompt and always courteous and professional. We wanted to experience piece of English country living that is getting harder to find these days. Beautiful green fields, birds everywhere, and kind cheerful people who treat guests warmly. That's what you get here. Shops and places to dine are 15mins drive away. Great place to...

"Ideal location for a stay before flying out of Stansted. just 10 mins away on their shuttle bus (stops at bay 18 in the Stansted Airport bus station)"

"Room was nice and close to our hire car pickup.
Didn’t think the hotel should have charged us 4pound per person for the courtesy bus as we had already paid for the hotel room.
Breakfast had little options than normally offered."
"For a 3 Star hotel the stay was not to bad the staff were good and polite The cooked breakfast was good The only draw back was after the last night stay my partner removed the bedding as she all ways has done when we live our hotel my partner noticed that the mattress cover was badly/heavy stained with body fluids coffee or tea ect ect we reported it to the reception asked for the manager but she was unavailable ,filled in a how did we do card and made a reference to the problem about the mattress cover and a very loose toilet seat and took photos of them both for our reference, until we can talk to the manager, we did ask the receptionist to come to our room and see what we found but she said that she could not leave the reception this is dated 14/6/2026 at around 10 am.we will be contacting the hotel to speak to the manager on the 15/6/2026. We will send any photos we took when asked for."
"All the staff where polite and helpful, it just probably my over sights that I didn’t know this is a pub and a busy one, it was 1 in the morning with music playing that I emailed the pub to ask when things would quiet down and my young child couldn’t sleep.
Very basic room, screw on the floor, cracks in the walls, dirty toilet and bath."
"Dear Hotel Management,
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your establishment. Regrettably, the quality of the accommodations and services provided fell significantly short of acceptable standards, rendering the overall experience highly unsatisfactory. Due to the substandard conditions and the failure to meet the expectations of a paid guest, I request a full refund for my booking. I trust you will handle this matter with the appropriate urgency and look forward to your prompt response regarding the reimbursement process.
Sincerely,
Farhan"
"The staff were very kind and helpful, and the air conditioning worked great. The hotel could use some updating, and the mattress was extremely firm — basically like sleeping on a rock. The bathroom had a couple of spots that seemed overlooked during cleaning, though nothing major. There were plenty of transportation options nearby, making it easy to get into London city. Overall, you do get what you pay for."
"Bar staff left half pint on table went to order food came back no drink and table was taken.saw the table cleaner she just smiled and said left it on the bar not there"
"Dry disappointed with the venue as a whole. It advertises electric charging car facilities, yet no one on the property knew how to use them so was unavailable.
The room was supposed to be prepared for twin beds and wasn’t so had to wait. When beds were separated, condoms were found u see the bed and just left out.
The spa facilities were out of order ( jacuzzi and sauna). The hotel bar was small and rubbish.
The staff were largely unhelpful and I knowledgeable.
The exception to all of this was the golf club. Excellent service, amenities and bar area.
Overall - not impressed"
"Arrived just before midnight to a very warm welcome allocated a room on the 7th floor. 24 hour service available. Had a delicious pizza and drinks before a great nifhts sleep.complementary breakfast was excellent and a check out at 12 means you don't have to rush"
