"Super welcoming staff - really made a difference. This is a great place to stay if you’re flying to/from Stansted as it’s a far pleasant experience than the airport hotels.
It was so lovely that I’d book a weekend break there to explore the local area more."

"I stayed here one night before an early flight from stanstead. The hotel is conveniently located about 5 min drive to the airport. The chap at front desk was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were both clean as was the shower. The room had tea making facilities and a hair dryer. The bed was not so good very bumpy, you could feel the springs, and parking is not free as stated I was charged £6. 50. Overall ok for a one night stay. "

"Everything just as listed. Room was spotless, everything clean bright and fully functional. Host communications were timely, informative, and replies to questions prompt and always courteous and professional. We wanted to experience piece of English country living that is getting harder to find these days. Beautiful green fields, birds everywhere, and kind cheerful people who treat guests warmly. That's what you get here. Shops and places to dine are 15mins drive away. Great place to...

"Its a home that rents rooms (boutique style inn, essentially). I enjoy walking so the area was good for me. Uber is available and public transportation isnt far"

"I couldn't fault this stay (aside from paying 8 pounds for parking on top of the room). The room was good value for money, excellently appointed with comfortable beds and a lovely modern bathroom. It was also very quiet in spite of being near to a main road. The hotel has a modern feel and feels fresh and bright. The staff were superb - all very friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to Holly who was exceedingly warm, kind and helpful. The pool and gym were great - pool was warm, not busy, lovely to do laps in, and the gym was quiet. Really great short break from London and I look forward to coming back again."
"Staff didn't seem very well trained, seemed like bar staff doing reception work against their will. Arrived at check in at 3pm as advised, checked in and showed ID, told room wasn't ready. Given a standard free drink, told to sit in the bar and we'd be told when ready. 40 mins later went and asked if ready and told we hadn't checked in. Had to show ID again, check in and told now ready. Room was clean and a family room for 3 friends but was a full accessibility room. Bathroom had a high toilet and a very low sink which was fine. The biggest problem was the temperature, it was locked at 26 degrees and the temp outside was 30 degrees so extremely warm. The sign above the thermostat said it couldn't be changed so open the window, would love to do that but the window handle etc had been removed so locked shut. It was horrendous and even went up to 26.5 in the evening. Spoke to staff on reception who said nothing to be done but they'd organise a fan. Which they didn't as another member of staff said there was only one and they were using that one. As we were at the end of a corridor we just propped open the main door as it was slightly cooler out there.
Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice.
On check out, they'd taken payment without asking if correct card to charge. I asked for an email with invoice, staff member said that's fine, asked for email and after a while confirmed it had gone, I've never received it.
Stay was OK but wouldn't stay again or recommend."
"A great hotel in the vicinity of the airport - a lovely stay with very clean bathroom and comfortable bed. The bar area is tidy and well maintained - staff very helpful and very friendly."
"Room nice overlooking the lake area………..hotel now looking a bit old and tired……nice to sit outside around the decking overlooking the lake with a nice meal…….the problem with that was two local rats looking for scraps…..but what can you do it’s a countryside hotel ……still a nice place to stay and only 20 mins from brands hatch"
"Very basic. Only 2 plug sockets situated near the TV. Shower nob was really stiff to turn on and off. Very basic breakfast, however a place to go sleep and the bed was comfy."
"Spotlessly clean throughout. Very comfy and spacious room.
Large bathroom which was very nice. Stayed here for a wedding. The gardens are beautiful and hotel is in a lovely location in the countryside. Therefore a peaceful setting. Breakfast was good. There was a good selection of food choices "
