A Great Stay and New Best Friend

We loved staying at the Renew Retreat. The cottage had everything we needed to make our short stay in Charlottesville ideal. While spending time on the back patio, we made a new best friend named "Neow" - a cute and extremely friendly black cat that came for daily visits. What a charming and peaceful retreat! Thanks for hosting us!

Cute cabin in the woods

The space was even cuter than the pics online! It was also a gorgeous setting—we loved being in the woods and feeling like it was remote but still being a short drive from Charlottesville. Definitely recommend!

A great little getaway in Virginia wine county

Renew is a beautifully appointed, immaculately clean and well equipped cottage. The serene surroundings made for an ideal setting and an excellent place for our day trips to Monticello, area wineries and downtown Charlottesville for dining and Adventures. We plan to come back to the area and will definitely want to stay at Renew.

Amazing

We couldn’t be more complimentary of the cabin and hosts. The hosts were fantastic and answered any questions we had and even sent us a recommendation on where to find some good food. The Cabin was the perfect get away to unwind and relax. Had everything we needed and then some. Absolutely beautiful scenery and great location close to lots of good wine and attractions. Couldn’t have gone any better and will definitely be coming back to visit!

What a Gem!

Just loved this quiet, private getaway that was just exactly the right size for two and had everything we needed! And even though we were tucked away, it was still less than a half hour to Charlottesville.

Lovely vacation retreat!

We had a wonderful time. The hosts had thought of everything from the stocked breakfast/snack cart to cream in the fridge for morning coffee. The setting is beautiful and private. We truly felt refreshed after our weekend there. We will be back!

Lovely cabin in the woods!

Just the rest we needed! Quiet and wonderful!! The products inside like soap and appliances reminded us of Iceland! Clean and smart. Can’t wait to go again.

A wonderful getaway!

This property is incredibly clean and stylish. The setting is beautiful with big tall trees surrounding the property. It's very peaceful and the perfect place to rest and renew. We had such a wonderful time and hope to visit again. You will also be greeted by the cutest, most friendly cat upon arrival. Thank you for everything Amy and Steven!

Perfect getaway!

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay! Everything was so clean and well maintained. We were a little surprised at first by how close the main house was to this place, but the outdoor spaces were thought out so carefully we felt like we had total privacy! Also, their cat “Neow” was honestly one of the main highlights of our stay! Sweetest cat I’ve ever met - she came around every morning while we drank our coffee outside to say hi and lounge in our laps. We’d love to come back again next time we need a getaway among the trees.

Beautiful space but terrible hospitality

The property and space were just what we expected. However, we had an unforeseen situation that required an extra adult to have to spend the night late on Friday. I planned to make the host aware of the extra person first thing in the morning since it was too late to call or text. Much to my dismay, my phone was blowing up early Saturday morning demanding payment for the third adult. I absolutely understood the terms of the stay only included 2 adults and I knew there would certainly be an extra charge. That said, the additional fee was unreasonable and the host was unwilling to compromise. Her attitude quite frankly put a "bad taste in my mouth." If that wasn't bad enough, the host actually accused me of stealing her wooden hangers (WTH- I didn't even know there was a closet!). I loved the property but wasn't a fan of the lack of hospitality.

This property is the perfect little getaway for anyone looking to relax and unplug. It has everything you need on site but is close enough to C'ville for those that want to head into town. The space was very thoughtfully planned and efficiently utilized. We will definitely be going back for another stay!

Beautiful, peaceful retreat

Lovely cottage in a quiet “forest” setting. Extremely well maintained. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Close to a wonderful hiking park; Preddy Creak. Informative and hospitable owners in case you should need them. Our stay was perfect!

Wonderful stay

Such an adorable property! Everything you will need is in this house. It was our tiny home away from home for a couple of days. Highly recommended. We also enjoyed the daily visits from the owner’s super friendly and sweet cat😍 Thank you for a wonderful stay!
