"The ocean view was excellent. The heated hot tub pool was cold. Barely useful. The restaurant the waiters obviously were not getting along. Our food was okay but nothing great especially in light of the price. The electronic key often didn’t work so we had to get help often which was an inconvenience. Also it is expensive to park at the property with no other options close by. "

"When you open the door you see how amazing this house is. A million dollar view from most windows. The beds and couches are so comfy. My friends and I can’t wait to go back. Dream vacation! "

"Amazing property and gracious host"

"We have been renting homes in the Hollywood Beach/ Strand area for 15 years, and have had varying experiences with the layout, condition, and preparation of the homes by the owners for guests. With this particular rental, there was very little effort put forth in the stocking, and preparation of the home. We ended up taking multiple trips to the store to purchase basics such as paper towels, and trash bags. In addition we purchased other needed things such as a hair dryer, cooking utensils,and curtains for the upstairs bathroom, to provide some privacy for our other guests. Other noted items, were the mostly expired cooking products in the pantry, and worn out bed linens and towels. On the upside, the home has a beautiful layout, and is in an excellent location. Our overall all impressions was that minimal effort was put forth into preparing the home for us, which was unfortunate because we traveled from out of state."

"This house is very spacious, clean with beautiful views and nice location. The host was very professional and responded to all my questions very quickly.The house has a piano, which was a plus, my two children play the piano since they were little, so we enjoyed that. My dog was very happy too. We had enough towels, shampoo and kitchen supplies for our full stay. We will definitely rent this place again."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hollywood Beach in Oxford, California has the feel of childhood summer vacations at a beach home. The house is adorable. The beach is massive, empty with the most gorgeous sunsets. You feel like you’re at the end of the world but at the same time you have access to everything you could possibly want in a cosmopolitan city. The house is very clean, kitchen and bathroom spotless. The first night we got locked out. It was a little frustrating because we had to talk to four different people to get help. However, every single person was lovely and they came and replaced the lock within an hour. The microwave broke the next morning and they came and replaced that extremely quickly also. The kitchen and the bathroom are newly renovated and gorgeous. There were so many thick fluffy towels. It felt very luxurious if you go during the summer, I would ask if they have air conditioning. When we were there, it was cold so we didn’t need it. They do have heat, however. We would highly recommend this serene beach home."
