"Tierra viva was probably my favorite hotel in our 12 night honeymoon- i cant recommend it enough. Book room 504 (junior suite), trust me! It has a large balcony overlooking the urabamba river, with a view both up and down the river. Staff met us at the train station, which i didnt expect, but allowed us to ditch our bags and get to our tour on time. Staff also drew maps for me, gave us drinks and let us check out late. They also have a filtered water bottle filler in th lobby, the only one ive seen in peru- this saves a lot of headache managing water. "

Don’t miss the tour of the on site farm! "I stayed at the beautiful Casa Del Sol for 3 nights with family during my trip in Aguas Calentes. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly from greeting us at the train station to providing us with hot towels and tea upon our arrival. I immediately knew this hotel would take care of us. The hotel boasts stunning views of the mountains and river, with the entire backside offering a breathtaking panorama. I had a river side room and it was very relaxing falling asleep to the sound of the river, I highly recommend! Breakfast is served early to accommodate early explorers and offers a plethora of delicious options for food and drinks. One evening, I dined at the hotel’s restaurant, where you can choose a three-course meal from a diverse menu. The restaurant staff kindly opened 30 minutes early to accommodate my family's schedule, which was greatly appreciated. The food was amazing and the drinks were very refreshing after a long day of hiking. I was particularly impressed by the kindness and helpfulness of Nilton, Edwin, Monica, and the hotel manager, who always assisted with a smile. Casa Del Sol truly goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable and comfortable stay!"

"Such an inviting jungle like retreat! A staff member met us at the train station and walked us to the hotel. The superior suite room was wonderful, especially with the natural hot springs hot tub! Would have liked a little more attention advertised as special services that go along with the room choice. Food was bountiful and tasty! Staff very attentive in the dining room!"

"Segunda vez q voy, esta vez fui con mi mami para pasar un tiempo juntas, fue un poco tedioso llegar al hotel x la carretera, no podíamos pedir delivery xq cambiaron las condiciones del hotel, si o si debes consumir en el restaurante del hotel o salir al centro a comer… la piscina no estaba en funcionamiento, pero la habitación estuvo impecable y las áreas comunes tienen bonita arquitectura "
