"The room was clean and onsite parking was available. The elevator was very helpful ... and the view of the lake from the elevator as it goes up/down was delightful! The views from the rooms are excellent (though rooms with 01 in the number have limited views) and the location of the inn is very convenient. However, the property is undergoing renovations right now and the noise from this did negatively impact our stay, as did the loud sound of wind coming through the door (apparently that is just part of being at this location). We would definitely stay there again, but just know that right now significant renovations are going on. I imagine they hope to have the renovations done before the true season starts (we were there in early March)."

"The staff were some of the best people I’ve met . We came in late the lights were on and they knew my name. Awesome place to visit.It’s Okracoke, so if you’re looking for the Ritz go to Corolla or Duck."

"Absolutely delightful little cottage, perfect for a solo weekend getaway. Love how quiet and secluded it is, not the usual touristy beach vacation (but within driving distance to do the traditional stuff!). Dark skies at night made for incredible stargazing! Kitchen was well stocked, comfortable bed, nice sized bathroom, beautiful view of the water. Will definitely be planning a return trip. "
