"Owner was lovely. We got greeted to where the taxi dropped us and she gave us a whole tour even left some water and orange juice for us. The place was very nice and clean. I’ve never stayed at a place before and the bed feel like my own it felt clean and so comfortable. The living room is a COMMON area and not private but the rest was amazing with a sea view and beautiful windows. Owner was very responsive and had recommendations for the area however (poured rain) the whole time we were there so I would think about what time of year you would like to come we came in November. "

"We were moved last minute to a sister property, Hotel Excelsior, due to end of season maintenance. The staff was lovely and very helpful with the details of the change. We were upgraded with a beautiful, seafront room and greeted with a bottle of wine and tray of sweets. While unexpected, we had a terrific stay and loved Excelsior and hope to be back to stay again!"

"We booked late on same day we needed accomodations and we arrived to a clean room. Communication very good. The room is compact, but everything you need for a stay. It is up the hill from downtown but most everything is, it's the nature of the area. We are seniors and managed it fine."

"This location and property ownervwere both top notch! The location on the harber was perfect for exploring the town. The views were amazing. Swimming in the protected harbor via steps with a handrail into the cordoned off swimming area was 15 yards away.The property owners were so kind, and generous. They helped with our day planning and suggestions for restaurants. Everything in town was just steps away.Taxis aren't allowed in the town center, but our driver helped us get our bags the two blocks to this historic villa. This location is a gem. I wish I was still there! It's a 10 out of 10 for me.The rooms were clean, and the kitchen well stocked with plates, etc. For us, we all agreed that it was location, location -- LOCATION that made this a great choice at this historic property."
