We enjoyed eating the continental breakfast on the patio outside each morning and loved relaxing by the pool after exploring during the day. The only thing to be aware of is that if you don't have a car it's hard to get to (taxis are hard to come by in Amboise), and a decent walk from downtown Amboise."

"Wonderful characterful property with amazing artworks throughout and in the beautiful grounds. Lovely swimming pool. Kitchen fully equipped with plenty of room but we sat outside to eat all the time next to the wonderful smelling lavender plants. Our host could not have been nicer or more helpful especially when one of our party was unwell. I cannot recommend enough. There is a Le Relais restaurant around 5 min walk which is cheap and good for a very relaxed unfussy lunch and lots of very good restaurants a short drive away. Again if you want a wonderful relaxed place to stay with a superb host this property is perfect. "
