「We had a fantastic stay at The Cally Palace Hotel. I visited with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson — the boys enjoyed a round of golf while we girls headed to the Arts and Crafts Festival in Kirkcudbright. The hotel is full of charm, with beautiful surroundings, comfortable rooms, and very friendly staff. The food was excellent, and the whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!」

「Stayed over for one night passing through on a cycling trip. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful storing and charging our bikes. Only open for B&B but fortunately the local tearoom opens on weekend evenings for meals. Well stocked community shop next door and community pub at the end of the street. Great village and area.」

I was a little disappointed to see Haigh Whisky is no longer served. When we first stayed here, Barry introduced me to Haigh cocktails.
