"The staff at this hotel are really nice and helpful. The ladies at the cafe and the pool bar were very warm and friendly. The girls at the spa were amazing when I got my massage. The maids and cleaners were always smiling and would greet you. Rooms were clean, bathrooms are concrete floors but clean and sanitary. The food at the cafe and pool bar was pretty good and there are other hotels and restaurants within walking distance. You are also a USD $5 cab ride away from El Centro where you can walk easily and safely around to restaurants, cafes, and shops. It’s right across from the beach and a huge Cartagena sign for photos and beach life. Beach across from the hotel is only a 6 out of 10 but I may be a beach snob. There is a beach that you can do a cheap excursion to called El Blanco in Baru. Blue water, jet skis, about a 90 min ride by bus where you see the countryside of Colombia. Highly recommend."

"Loved our stay here. The place was so immaculately maintained, the landscaping was so beautiful, and with live plants even in the bathrooms, the place had the upscale feeling that we paid for. This is expensive - considering this is Colombia, but we lived our stay. The restaurants on site were also very good - breakfast at Calablanca was not the run of the mill hotel breakfast. We had dinner at Bahia twice - everything was delicious. Service staff were super friendly and cheerful all the time Beach was clean and calm. Not much seaweed to speak of Highlight or our trip "

"This is the second time I stay at sonesta hotel in Cartagena and it was perfect ! First time with my family kids and husband and the second time just two of us. From the moment you arrive at the hotel everyone is so welcoming! The person that helps you with the suitcase the people at the reception that is so friendly and understanding the person that clean the room and wait for us because we get up late and she was so nice !! everyone of you guys that work at the hotel make our stay feel the most comfortable and safe vacation !!and I need to mention too the people that work in the breakfast area !!! "Yes. They met all the expectations. This hotel cared to take care of every normal possible request. For people that don't speak spanish, they were great on english. Pool was awesome with its view on the open sea. We paid for the breakfast option, it was great. For breakfast they continued to bring fresh food through the end."
