Just 20 minutes outside of Asheville and less than a mile from mountain biking and hiking abound sits this peaceful mountain cottage. The 10 acre property is surrounded by rolling pastures filled with horse, sheep and flower farms. Miles of protected ridgeline can be enjoyed right from the front porch. Modern amenities and cozy features make for a perfect home base to explore all that Western North Carolina has to offer.
The space
The front patio provides a wonderful spot to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and watch the sheep graze the pasture across the road. Through the patio entrance sits an expansive living room with a 65" smart tv that includes all major streaming services. High speed wifi is also provided throughout the house. The master bedroom houses a hybrid king size mattress and full length mirrors. The large clawfoot tub in the bathroom is the perfect place to soak in the views of the horses outside. Fresh, clean towels and linens are provided to all guests. The kitchen comes fully stocked with everything needed for cooking and baking as well as modern appliance and a dishwasher. The coffee bar has a high quality Breville espresso machine and grinder as well as everything needed for pour over coffee as well. Fresh coffee beans are included with your stay. The upstairs houses a private office with space for two to work. Also upstairs is a kids room and a game room with a tv, ping pong table and board games. The kids trundle bed pulls out to become a large king size bed for guests, along with a pullout couch in the game room.
Guest access
Guests have the entire two story house to themselves along with 10 acres of rolling pasture and private woodlands to explore. Less than a mile away is the Rough Creek Watershed that has many miles of hiking and mountain biking with gorgeous views. Just a short drive to Canton brings you to Bear Waters brewing for local craft beer or Chestnut Mountain nature preserve, home to the newly built Berm Park which is a state of the art mountain biking park.
