"This is DEFINITELY NOT a four star - the first night of arrival we were late getting in and the first impression was grim. Front desk was nice enough but it was not a feel good feeling overall. Furniture in the guest area was stained- we got to our room and it was dark and honestly gave me an anxiety attack- felt like a chalk outline should have been on the floor. Stains on the furniture, and curtains, walls and carpets. Bathtub had a chunk of tile missing. We tried to do any early check out the next morning as we were to stay for 9 days. They would not accommodate as we did not take the refund package on Expedia. Wanting to leave on these appalling conditions so early you’d think rules could have been bent a little and given at least 50% back. The hallways were also extremely stained and the hotel smell gave me a huge headache as I am smell sensitive. They did reluctantly change our room after having to inspect our room to make sure it was what we had said. Needless to say we lasted only 4 days and ate the cost of our room. We had to go out and buy our own dish cloths and disappointed in the sandpaper like towels. Bare minimum supplies to use. Area was sketchy with the closest grocery store having two smashed windows. Would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy. "

"Our room was on th 6th floor with an incredible view of the sea ! The balcony had 2 chairs and a table fir us to enjoy our coffees in the mornings and drinks after a long day exploring the riviera. The room was impeccibly clean and tidy. There was a beautiful bouquet of fresh white tulips and an absolutely delicious cake as a nice welcome touch! The Nespresso esspresso maker with 12 coffee pods is always a wonderful amenity. The included soft drinks, bottled water, juices, beers and chocolates were amazing as well. Florian checked us in and was there at check out anx provided service above and beyond expectations - please give him a raise ! Other service staff such as laundry service and room cleaning were also beyond wonderful. Having a balcony with seats to enjoy the wonderful univstructed view of the sea be cannot be beat ! We have stayed on other hotels on the "Coisette" but the rooms and views did not compare to what we received at the Carlton. This is by far, the absolute BEST HOTEL IN CANNES. Staff is always welcoming and professional, the rooms are spotless, and tge sea view cannot be surpassed ! "

"Breakfast was delicious, location is close to all attractions plus shopping and eats. Train station is a 5 minute walk. Perfect location and price is ideal. Strongly recommended. "
