Candlestick Point State Recreation Area

Disappointing stay – no hot water for two days, Room was comfortable, I was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness. However, the most serious issue was the lack of hot water for almost the entire duration of my stay. After the first night, I reported to reception that the water was cold and that it was impossible to take a hot shower. I was assured that the issue would be investigated and that someone would get back to me. Unfortunately, I received no update, and nothing appeared to be done to resolve the problem. On the 2nd day, the issue remained unresolved, so I reported it again and asked when it would be fixed. The receptionist seemed unaware that I had already raised the complaint and once again promised to investigate and get back to me. Once again, I received no response, and the problem continued. It was only on the day of our departure that warm water finally became available. When checking out, I asked to speak to the manager to discuss my experience, but I was told that no manager was available. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay. The lack of hot water for two days was unacceptable, particularly given that I reported the issue twice and received no meaningful response or communication from the staff. Combined with the concerns about cleanliness and the lack of follow-up, this experience fell well below my expectations. I would have expected a much better standard of service and a more proactive approach to resolving such a basic issues.

This hotel is in a great location just two blocks from Pier 39 and 1 block from Trader Joes. It’s easy to walk to other areas of San Francisco and the area feels very safe with lots of restaurants near by. The breakfast was buffet style and there was a great choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back if I wanted to stay in San Francisco.

This is a great place to stay. Close to public transportation, 1 and a half blocks to a beautiful park, trader Joes and more. Aziza was helpful and professional.
