We stayed at Callala Cottage with three adults and three children, aged 2, 6 and 9 years old for a week. There is a spacious backyard with a big trampoline and cubby house. The host provides lots of outdoor and indoor toys and board games, which our kids loved! The beds are comfortable. We brought our own linen and towels. There are no hand towels, so you need to bring these if you don't hire the bed linen/towels. To get to the second bathroom you need to walk across the veranda. It is more a laundry than a bathroom but has a shower (no shower curtain) and toilet.A bit more attention to the inside of cupboards, drawers and pantry would have been great as there were crumbs and dust. Surfaces, floors and bathrooms were clean. It is a five minute walk to Callala Beach beach, which is beautiful and less crowded than other beaches in the area. The little coffee shop two houses down the road is open from 7-11am and has good coffee. It is a five minute drive to the IGA in Callala Bay.Our highlights in the area were Cave Beach in Booderee National Park (kangaroos and a wonderful beach), the rock pools in Currarong, the Woollamia Boat Ramp to see sting rays and pelicans and the Blow Hole in Kiama. The host was excellent with communication and check-in was easy.
