The staff was the only reason for not getting the lowest score. The were friendly, accomodating, and did everything to provide excellent service, but the overall neglect and condition of the hotel is why my score was so low. Lets start on the negatives...
1) The hotel on the website does not match the actual hotel. Many of the attractions/pools are not operational. The attractions for the kids are not operational or are in need of maintenance.
2) At one point i was in need of sunblock so i went to the onsite shop. When i went to the shop it was closed. There was a sign on the door "out to lunch" which was no problem and i figured i would just come back later. I came back two hours later and the shop was still closed with the "out to lunch" sign still posted, so i went to the service desk to ask when the owner would be back and the desk person could not answer... the response was " she has a habit of doing this... sometimes she comes back... sometimes she does not, and it all depends on the kind of day she is having....REALLY!?!? Why have this person there with a business if she doesnt care about selling anything??? Only thing i can think of is that she is related to the hotel owners, so she really doesnt need to work.
3) Exterior and interior of hotel needs to be renovated.
