Waves Hotel NYE Beach - Newport OR

"The location of the property is great! Conveniently located near shopping, local restaurants and beach access! All staff we encountered were so nice, knowledgeable of the area and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. If you plan on being in the room a lot you may struggle with limited amenities in the rooms, but all the basics were there and let’s be honest the best things on the coast aren’t in the hotel room, they are on the sandy shores and historic bay front. My only negative complaint is no hand soap in the room and a few more hangers would have been helpful. All in all we love staying at the Waves hotel."

"Reservation was for my daughter and granddaughter. Mix up in communication between me and my daughter. I paid for 2 nights, she thought only one night and checked out after 1 night. When she called me to let me know when they would be home I told her again the reservation was for 2 nights. I was able to call the hotel directly and get things straightened out. Jason was a huge help getting things straightened out! She went back and stayed the second night. I would book this hotel again."

"One of my favorite solo hotel experiences I have had with my toddler and our dog. The staff were all friendly, the gentlemen that was there in the evenings was amazingly helpful and kind. The breakfast was clean, simple and a great start to the day. The room and lobby were exceptionally clean. And the area felt safe. We didn't get to check out the pool area, but it looked super nice! Will definitely be our go-to hotel if we are ever back in Newport. The restaurant across the street was also a huge bonus! You can never have to many close amenities with kiddos."

"Overall great property and was very comfortable for our family of 6. Clean, walking distance to the beach and over all great. Only surprise we had and we didn't read the listing closely enough was there's no AC. After opening the windows, it was clear that AC was not needed in the beginning of August."
