They are doing a remodel of the property. Because I booked through Expedia they said all the King bed rooms were sold out so they put us into a Double bed room with dirty blankets. No pots and pans. Very limited silverware and knives. The appliances were one and rusty. It was noisy with the dog whining and barking all day in the room across the hallway. Voices travelled under the doors from two other rooms. And to top it off there was a smoke detector beeping because it had a low battery.

Chaotic and half done renovation. Plumbing wasn’t adequate and wasn’t checked. I was trying to shower and the water was spraying out of the pipe connected by the nut. Also it was warm water for the first three minutes and then went freezing cold right after and wouldn’t get warm. Breakfast choices and staffing were inadequate. Dirty tables, lack of clean plates and milk. There were empty serving dishes and I had to go to the kitchen to ask if they could replenish the berries. The lady said she doesn’t like to put the food out on the tables because the workers eat it. I told her that we are paying for it and it should be put out for guests staying there. There wasn’t any yogurt and bananas in the area today and the bread was stale. The front desk supervisor was very rude to me on check in and wrote down the wrong room number. So I had to go all the way back to him to tell him the key wouldn’t work and he said he wrote down the wrong number. The toilet wouldn’t flush well and this morning overflowed so I had to go to the first floor to use the washroom. I explained the problem to the front desk supervisor and told him I want to escalate my complaints and get compensation for my stay. So far I haven’t hear back from the hotel manager who was notified by email about my complaints. The managers email address is: Nortiz@buffalolodging.com. Hotel was under construction, not mentioned at all prior to arrival. Room was dirty, hot tub was broken, strange smells throughout hotel, wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Kids screaming and adults blasting music on a loud speaker at the pool, no staff said anything to them. Very trashy and not at all relaxing. Bed was very uncomfortable. Might be better when construction is done but would stay away for now.

Had a fun time with my family, the staff checking us in were very clueless and could not do check in smoothly without needing help by additional staff. The room was good and clean. The pool was great. No other concerns past check in issues
