This is a gem of a hotel - lovely personal touches by the staff (they couldn't have done more), great sized room and a lovely place to unwind after a hard day site-seeing. The food and bar were fab & the terrace was a sun trap.

Staying here was a delight. The staff is incredibly helpful and super nice. Loved the onsite restaurant as well. Location is perfect and you can walk to lots of must see destinations.

Lovely Hotel with amazing food

I loved this quaint hotel, the service and staff were excellent. I ended up having all my meals in the hotel because the food was Michelin Star level, brilliant chef.

What an absolute gem this place is. The rooms are clean and comfortable, AC and great Wifi. The front desk staff was full of information and suggestions for site seeing. And the best part was the restaurant. The food is homemade and absolutely phenomenal. Worthy of five stars. The breakfast was delicious, made to order. Also lots of options for help yourself. 100%. I would recommend this location to anyone. Walking distance to lots of sites on the Buda side, close to transit and a quick trip down into the downtown core. I want to thank Alexandra for providing us with fantastic service and many fun and wonderful memories. All in all, this was the highlight of our trip.

Perfect oasis in Budapest

What a wonderful place. We loved every moment of staying here. Having a room off the main courtyard was just so nice to be able to enjoy the bistro for breakfast and dinner. Hotel room is super clean and we'll oriented for a home away from home feeling.

The free breakfast was great with very good coffee! Room was roomy, didn't know we were one floor up the stairs, but the person helped with our luggage so it wasn't an issue for us. They do have ground floor rooms. We loved our stay here!

I stayed at the Maison for three nights. The location on Castle Hill is wonderful. My room was very nice and I enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The staff was very helpful in arranging airport transfers (extra cost). I would definitely stay again!

Buda Castle hotel gem

Wonderful hotel in Buda Castle district, walking distance to so much. Great staff. Chairs in the room were a bit tired. shower and bathtub were amazing. Food is wonderful — breakfast and dinner.

What can I say? The reviews were all spot on. We absolutely loved our stay at the Maison Bistro & Hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it. Our room was a Grand Double and it was a beautiful space to spend 3 days in. Spacious, clean and beautifully appointed with cool furniture and fittings. The bed and pillows were super comfy, the ensuite was great with powerful shower and L’Occitane toiletries. Breakfast was extremely good with plenty of buffet options and a choice of hot dish which was cooked and presented beautifully. Staff were in general lovely, friendly and helpful. The location in the Castle district was perfect for us. The Fisherman's Bastion close by was such a lovely place to stroll when the tourists had left in the evening. We walked everywhere - the Chain Bridge was approximately 20 minutes away - but the number 16 bus into the city went every 10 minutes.

We stayed in Maison Bistro Hotel in November for 4 nights. It has been amazing from start to finish! We booked a grand suite which turned out fabulous. The bed was really comfortable and the two person jacuzzi was the icing on the cake We were greeted with a bottle of local Prosecco and cake. A really nice touch. The breakfast was delicious and the a la carte choice of hot dishes was excellent. My favourite was the Hungarian omelette. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Location wise it worked out really well for us. On a top of a hill right next to Buda castle and Fisherman’s bastion. There is a good choice of cafés and restaurants, even though it is very quiet at nighttime One thing to consider is the steep hill if you fancy waking to the Pest side. It didn’t bother us. However the bus no 16 literally passes by the hotel and goes very frequently Overall this small boutique hotel is an absolute gem and deserves the excellent rating.
