「This is an amazing old building. They managed to modernize without getting rid of the charm, including original floors. The room was large, but cozy. Instead of your typical hotel room, the decor and finishes really make it feel homey. The staff was great. We let them know we would be checking in quite late, and even though they didn't have an overnight desk person scheduled, the guy at the desk stayed until we got there at 2 a.m. The attached Mexican restaurant was delicious. 「We had a wonderful stay at Damascus Old Mill Inn. It’s located right on the river and convenient to all the shops in town as well as the Creeper Trail. The atmosphere at the Inn was very welcoming and comfortable..The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Breakfast with Betty was always a great start to our day.」
