Should be shut down

Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to stay in Branson two nights vs the one night we planned. With it being Memorial Day weekend this hotel was the only one left in my price range with vacancies so we booked it although the reviews urged me not to. I called to see if they offered 24/7 check in and could barely understand the front desk lady due to a language barrier. Upon arrival the outside didn’t look too bad but the interior lobby was small and musky. Going up the filthy carpeted stairs we entered our room which was also stained, outdated, and HOT. We immediately turned the air on and had to plug in all the lights. The bathroom light did not work. Sheets were stained, chairs stained, walls and bathtub all stained. The lock was sketchy and not secure at all. The decent part was the man’s customer service upon checkin and I was so exhausted that I slept almost all night. My maps even said the place was permanently shut down and now I see why. It should be.

As soon as we walked in the room we noticed a horrible smell. The carpet and floors were filthy. This was positively the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. Since there were no other rooms available we we stuck. Manager promised us a refund which we have yet to receive.
