Wuksachi Lodge

"The lodge was nestled in the woods and the view was beautiful. We could see deer outside our window. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There isn’t an elevator, but we were given the choice when checking in to wait and get a room on the 1st floor. There is a little bit of a climb to get up to the rooms, but luggage assistance is available if needed. There wasn’t any air in the room but a fan in the window and a ceiling fan. But the room was cool and comfortable. There were also chairs outside the hotel area to sit in and relax and enjoy the scenery. If going to the park, I highly recommend staying here. There were also several food options at the Lodge Pole(parking was limited at high traffic times, recommend taking the free shuttle over there), but food was great! Food was also very good at the Wuksachi Lodge. A microwave and fridge were also available in the rooms. Staff was very helpful and friendly, even when we had a minor issue one night, it was resolved very quickly. The property was also a central location to travel during the day to see the sights."

"Clean rooms nestled right in the forest! Breakfast was not available. The shower is small, but the bedroom was large and spacious. Hosts very friendly and helpful, and made getting to the national parks easy."

"It's a basic room in an older hotel at the very end of Kings Canyon. You are getting Location and several extra hours of Not driving to the Park. I used it for a Rae Lakes Loop Hike. 1 day before and 1 day after the Hike. I would do it all over again... Small Breakfast Counter with a Burrito that was delish. Small Store with Gifts and a Good Supply of Stuff to Eat and Drink. You are right on the Kings River as you see in the Pic."

"Our tween boys said this was their favorite place they have stayed on this trip. We enjoyed the canoe, kayaks and paddle boards available for personal use on the lake. We attempted tennis, but learned we are not a tennis family. There was basketball available too and a trampoline. The kids were def loving all of the fun. And the buffet for dinner and breakfast were pretty decent. Desserts were AMAZING! We stayed in one of the personal cabins, which was nice for space and perfect for our family. We also enjoyed s'mores in the evening. Something to note, there is not a great system for your luggage and they offer wheelbarrow type carts to haul your luggage to your room/cabin/etc. It can be quite a haul, but it wasn't a deal breaker for us, might be for some. Any items that were 'dirty' or unkempt were from people leaving things out in places, can't really be the fault of the property. I'd sum this property up as a more camp type of accommodation (which it sounds like their family camp is pretty fun). Overall, I'd stay again and would suggest it for people wanting to visit the park. The location was pretty perfect."

"The cabin was just adorable. The bed and bedding were nice and warm and we had everything we needed. It was super close to Sequoia and Kings Canyon. My husband and I had a great time. Great communication with Melanie the host too!"
