"The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York."

"The room wasn't very clean (quite a lot of dust), and there were random quilts in random cupboards (not clean ones), and the bedroom window was painted shut, which was frustrating during a heat wave. There were a few unidentified noises of water sloshing or pouring from somewhere, both in the corner of the bedroom and in the bathroom, possibly due to being near a boiler, or just some residue from pipework.
