We stayed at this property during a three day visit to the area. Rhonda, the owner reached out before the stay and kept open positive communication during the stay. We were happy to spend time in this unique location, home and area. The home is comfortable and so interesting!

High school friends gathered at this lovely historic farmhouse for time together. Everything we needed was provided and the super-clean house in a beautiful rural setting was the perfect spot to reminisce and share a delightful time together. The hostess was most accommodating and communication was a breeze. Highly recommended as a “home away from home”

Incredible setting with a scenic mountian view over looking the farm land! All the conforts from home . Just a short drive to the lake ! The host was more than accommodating and very pleasant to work with. We will definitely stay there again! Thanks Rhonda! Love your home.

We had a wonderful stay with family ! My favorite part of the house was the front porch ! We sat there every morning and every night The house was beautiful inside and out! The host Rhonda was very nice and so easy to reach with my billions of questions ! lol The kids enjoyed walking to the creek and just sitting by the water ! I looked forward to watching the train go by every night ! The cows were a pleasant surprises guests ! lol I believe we made some good friends ! We visited Franklin County for a family reunion and were delighted withthis historic VRBO property. It exceeded all our expectations and made our gathering truly special. The cozy and well-stocked house comfortably accommodated 6 adults, two children, and our dog. It was spotlessly clean, and the spacious living areas were perfect for quality family time. The real highlight was the incredible countryside views. Waking up to stunning sunrises over the Blue Ridge mountains was a magical experience. The kids had a blast playing in the nearby creek, adding to the fun. The property's location was ideal, with easy access to Roanoke, Rocky Mount, and Smith Mountain Lake. It allowed us to explore the area and reconnect with our roots, as our family had moved away over the last decade. In summary, our stay at this historic house was fantastic. It provided a comfortable and cozy base for our family reunion, with incredible views and nearby attractions to enhance our experience. If you're looking for a perfect getaway in the Roanoke area, don't hesitate to book this VRBO property. We're already dreaming of returning in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse! Beautiful and peaceful location, plenty of space inside and outside to relax, comfortable beds and rooms, everything we needed in the kitchen. Hosts were responsive and kind. We'd definitely stay here again sometime.
