We promise you won't be looking at the time at this luxury home, named "Time to Wine Down." This one-of-a-kind, craftsman-built estate has everything you could ask for in a home away from home. This spacious sqft 4000 4-bedroom home is located in a peaceful, foliage-filled, quiet equestrian area in beautiful Bonsall, California. Wine down with family and friends in this tranquil and beautifully decorated home accompanied with an incredible pool, waterfall, jacuzzi, and firepit. “Time to Wine Down" is located behind a private automatic gate and shaded with luscious mature greenery. The home is perfect for a quiet getaway and a refreshing retreat. Pick fresh fruit from our 50+ fruit trees and take a stroll on the many walking paths near the home.

‘Time to Wine Down’ can comfortably sleep 14 guests with two master bedrooms both rooms boasting a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom. There is plenty of room with two queen bedrooms, 2 twin rollaway beds, and two sleeper sofas.

Wake up early and enjoy a cup of complimentary coffee on the back patio watching the birds fly overhead. Make breakfast for your friends and family in one of our two fully stocked kitchens, and make memories you'll never forget, jumping in the pool as lunch is being cooked on the built-in BBQ outback. Don't forget to pour a glass of wine and sit in our 10 person jacuzzi as the sunsets and get a little competitive with a round of pool. After a long day, find yourself curled up in one of our 3 living rooms enjoying a few board games or watching a great movie on our flat screen smart TVs. “Time To Wine Down” offers hotel-style amenities providing; shampoo, soap, conditioner, and all linen for your convenience. Additionally, complimentary water is located on nightstands in each bedroom as well as coffee and tea are provided for your use as well.

This stunning home also has a renovated barn with stables for indoor horse boarding, a large horse corral on the property, and a fully fenced property line. Board your horse for an additional cost and ride your horse on the 20+ mile equestrian trails.

‘Time to Wine Down’ is located just minutes from a few local cafes, boutique wineries, local cocktail bars, and less than 30 minutes from the Oceanside Pier. Feeling lucky, take a short 20-minute drive to Pala Casino.

A signed rental agreement is required prior to check-in. Please ask your host for more details.

-This property is pet friendly (max of 2 pets), with an additional fee of $25 per pet per night, plus a $70 non refundable deposit. We also require a pet agreement to be completed. Please ask the host for more details.
-Pool IS NOT heated but can be heated (only during the months of April thru Oct and outside air must exceed 68 degrees Fahrenheit) for an additional $400 per night with a 2 night minimum. If heating the pool, a pool heating agreement must be signed.
-Rental includes 3 hours of jacuzzi heating. There is an additional fee of $50 per hour if you are wanting more time.

High school girls

This property deserves a five star rating except for two things. In the description it says the pool can be heated for a fee. When we requested this we were told they had problems with that and aren't heating it anymore. Only two out of eight of us were able to tolerate the temp of the pool. Secondly, the lounge chairs were in need of repair as the fabric was shredding and we were leery of sitting in them. Again, fix those two issues and it would definitely be a five!

Amazingly beautiful views

Such a beautiful location hidden up in the hills with views from every window. House was so beautifully designed with lots of windows. I'd highly recommend to others.

Interesting house

Our family of 7 stayed at this house for our spring break trip. We knew the house wasn’t close to the city but it had what we wanted, a pool, quieter neighborhood, and large enough to fit all of us. However the house did not exactly match the pictures on the listing. There was no privacy in the master bedrooms between the sleeping area and the bathroom, and there were TONS of spiders everywhere. The water pressure also wasn’t great in the shower. The house overall was clean except for the outside table. You also had to text/call the rental company to turn on the hot tub in order to heat it for 3 hours max due to it being run on gas. That being said the rental company was easy to work with but the listing is misleading regarding the pool area and fire pit use. There is also a lot of weird rules regarding the house,and hefty fines if any are broken. The house is gorgeous but we won’t be staying here again in the future.

Stunning property

Time to Clean House!

To summarize our stay... this house is DIRTY, neglected, and needs a lot of upkeep! We arrived to a coyote poop on the front steps. Trash and half eaten food covered with ants near the pool. Interior: Windows were filthy. Cob webs and spider webs w/ spiders on windows, mirrors and light fixtures. Ant traps on counter tops, and on the floor (not "pet friendly"). Fruit flies were EVERYWHERE, on our food, in our drinks and even landing on my husbands face... SO GROSS! Kitchen: Cookware with baked-on food, dishes with mold and dirty knives in the knife block. Dishwasher smelled musty, even after running a cycle. We hand-washed pans, dishes, utensils and glasses before we using. No dish towels provided. Refrigerator water dispenser not working. Inoperable smoke alarm sitting on the kitchen counter. ALL bath towels were folded WET and placed in bathrooms. We had to start a load of laundry as soon as we arrived. Mold in washer. Large clump of hair on shower floor. Streaks and spots on the shower door. No bottled water at the bedside. And there's a $500 cleaning fee...For what?! Rental contract was several pages long, so many rules, regulations and additional charges. Twenty-four hours prior to check in, we were notified there's another house on the property and please be respectful. This house is absolutely disgusting! I was embarrassed to have selected it for a weekend with family and friends. I'm writing this review to warn others from making the same mistake I did.

Gorgeous Property

Picked this property to accommodate all my family for my son's wedding in San Marcos, we were very comfortable, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We will love to come back and be able to enjoy the home more :)

Stunning Stay in Gorgeous Bonsall Home

My (now) husband, some very close friends and I rented this property for the week of our wedding and everything about the home exceeded our expectations. The grounds are perfectly kept, the pool and hot tub were great, the view of the rolling hills in the backyard was stunning at all hours, but especially at sunrise and sunset. We grilled out one night, and the interior of the home was wonderful, lots of extra towels and linens too if needed. Tons of space to spread out, the listing photos were completely accurate to the property, checkin instructions were very easy, and the electronic handbook for the home on how to use everything was very user friendly and efficient. I cannot recommend this house enough!! Lastly, I just have to give a huge shoutout to the property management team, they were so nice and had prompt responses if we needed anything at all. They even went the extra mile, above and beyond, to ship us something that got left behind by mistake. Don’t hesitate to book this house!! You won’t regret it.

Wonderful House

Our family had a great time at this beautiful house. We sat by the fire pit, played games on the outside long table, cooked in the big kitchen and took dips in the pool and jacuzzi. We highly recommend this vacation home!

Great family retreat

We had a great time just hanging out in this wonderful sanctuary. The place was very spacious for the 7 adults and 2 dogs. The pool, hot tub, pool table were great ways to pass the time. It had all the amenities needed to cook and bbq. It was very quiet and serene. We will be back I hope. The property management was very good in answering questions. Highly recommended for people who want to chill. Not a party central given the the 9:45 curfew - that was perfect for us.

Holy Lord...What a Gem!

5 star!!! The house was huge. Gorgeous. Perfect!! The Property Manager was excellent and communicated perfectly. The house. Where do I begin? HUGE. Clean and homey. The best fire pit ever. Great hot tub. Great pool. Great VIEW!!! We had lemons and limes and oranges. I want to move to the area so bad because of this house.

Great Property for Families

The house is beautiful and in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. We had 4 little children who liked the pool room where they slept and hung out. The kitchen was a great space too.

Trip for family wedding

We had a great time. There were 8 of us and we all had our own suite of the house with bathroom each. Worked out great as we were there for a My Brothers wedding in Vista and had family coming from Washington and Arizona. So it was nice to all be together instead of hotel rooms. Only issue was the VRBO had the number of rooms wrong on the listing it said 5 bedroom and I let Barefoot Vacations know and they fixed the listing. Not fenced so if you bring your fur babies be prepared.

Relaxing stay at Time to Wine Down

We so enjoyed our stay at Time to Wine Down! Everything from booking to checking out was a breeze. Barefoot Vacation Rentals was wonderful to work with! The home is beautiful with gorgeous grounds! We enjoyed opening the doors and listening to the pool waterfall in the mornings, sipping wine by the fire pit in the evenings, playing pool, and lounging by the swimming pool. Time to Wine Down offer comfy beds, nice towels, well appointed kitchen, and nice details. We will be back, and will tell friends about our wonderful stay.

Wedding Weekend

Our daughter was getting married in Fallbrook and we needed a home base that was nearby for our immediate family. The property is gorgeous with plenty of room for larger groups (up to 14 people). Great amenities with a large kitchen, barbeque area, pool with jacuzzi and everything you need to relax. The views of the hillsides are wonderful. Everyone loved their stay!

Quiet luxury

8 adults, 1 toddler, all family from all over. The perfect place for us to relax, enjoy cooking together in the beautiful kitchen, swimming in the pool, chats by the fire... just a great place to stay! Will definitely recommend to our friends!
