「We spent a whole week here, and these cottages are located in an ideal place to explore Golden circle and southern Iceland along ring road. Only 45 minutes from downtown Reykavik we were able to connect with some tours via bus a couple of days and self drive the rest. 「Lovely cabin :well appointed: comfortable bed. But long drive from town 28km and half of it is (currently) a gravel road. It’s a beautiful place. We walked across field to waterfall. Views of the volcano. Nice respite but know you have a drive from the highway/town」

「If you like being out of the way Afternoon Cottages is a great jumping off point for adventuring. It is well equipped and very clean. It has a great price point and very basic. It worked great for us because it was simply a place to cook dinner and sleep. You have access to all the necessities about 25 minutes away in Hella. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.」
