"Our room was great overlooking the beautiful view of the river. If I have any complaints it would be the lighting in the room for reading is pretty bad. The insulation between floors really needs fixing. We heard every movement from above. The surrounding property though beautiful did need some maintenance. The outside part of windows clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. A real shame with such a beautiful view. The staff especially reception were exceptional. Having to walk to dinner, then another bldg for happy hour, and yet another for breakfast created a camp like atmosphere in the woods. Quite charming. The walk to the plantation gardens was a real treat. We would definitely stay there again. The peaceful ambience was wonderful. Oh did I mention all the horses?"
"This was a very nice property and our room was very clean. The front desk staff was very friendly. We ordered some food while at the pool. The wings and fries were very tasty."
"The room was really clean, the building was undergoing a remodel but they kept the noise to a minimal and did a really great job at making sure the crew only worked during reasonable hours. They checked the pool levels seemed like everyday which was great and the breakfast was good. The staff was really nice and the housekeepers were fantastic."
"Pros: Breakfast is above average, in terms of variety and quality of the coffee. Bed was comfortable. Both firm and soft pillows were provided. AC was cool and responsive.
Cons: No chest of drawers or closet are provided. The four hangars and wall hooks provided are woefully insufficient for more than a one night stay. Shower floor was super slippery but maintenance responded quickly to clean it."
"The staff was super sweet and very professional and extra helpful. Our room was amazing. For someone like myself who goes the extra mile to make sure my bed at home is extremely comfortable, as soon as I got into bed at this hotel, I could not get over how comfortable the bed was. I have to say I was very impressed with not having to call the front desk for extra towels in the bathroom or an extra pillow or a blanket either. I loved our stay at this hotel. My only regret was that we were too tired to take a dip in the beautiful pool. My only wish is that the doors Were a little thicker or there was a better barrier around the doors so that you can’t hear noises from the hallway when you’re trying to sleep. Outside of that the day was excellent."
