Statue to the fictional character Evangeline in front of the memorial building for the displaced Acadiens. For 8 years in the middle 1700's the British forcibly removed the French speaking Acadiens from this area because of an unfounded fear that they would take up arms against them. Grand Pre was an area of reclaimed land that was incredibly fertile. Once the Acadiens were removed from the area it was settled by British citizens including some from the original 13 colonies when the American Revolutionary War started.

「The unit was clean and tidy. We stayed only one night, but it was quiet and comfortable. The town is a quick walk away - and the town is absolutely amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer. 「First off, the owners were very nice and friendly. The house was beautifully decorated, and had a great view. Our beds were so comfortable, it was amazing.
