Downstairs was not clean, lots of dog hair. Front door broken, gas grill would not get hot enough to cook our burgers. But the mountains were amazing and the grandchildren had a blast.
It was a beautiful home that accommodated all of me and my children and grandchildren. It was centrally located near everywhere that we needed to go...
Rainbows End was a great stay overall. The cabin could have been cleaner, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. Aside from that, everything else was very good. The cabin could use a few upgrades, but it was cozy and comfortable, and we made memories we will truly cherish. Management was very responsive and attentive, always making sure we were satisfied and happy during our stay
The Foscoe group did well at communicating before the trip. However, there was NO T-MOBILE service at the location (no tower reception at all - had to walk up high on hill to call out) and the landline in the house never worked, which was very important/unfortunate as we had a medical emergency requiring a trip to ER/Hospital in Boone during the trip. I HIGHLY recommend this is fixed ASAP. We tried contacting host via multiple means with no response during the trip. I loved the cabin - great accommodations and good strength wifi for running TV/Roku when needed. I was able to use instacart from Food Lion and other locations nearby when needed. Hills on winding road to cabin NOT sonething id recommend late at night or without 4 wheel drive vehicle in bad weather. Cosy cabin with plenty of space and we'd stay again if we had assurances other things were fixed.
Dead fly's on the dining room table, multiple light bulbs burned out through out the house, several mini blinds very difficult to open and close, windows that would not open, master bedroom bathroom door dragging on the floor.
The cabin was great and exactly as described. We have stayed in the area before many times and knew what to expect. The only problem was a couple of light bulbs out that needed to be changed. The service man came an changed the bulbs after we reported it.
We would definitely chose this cabin again. The only thing that we wished it had was a hot tub, but everything else was great.
The property was beautiful and peaceful - we even saw a few deer passing below from the deck! We spent a lot of time outside. Our family had a great time. We'd really like to come back when the rhododendron are in bloom!
The only 2 complaints are that it was disappointing that it hadn't rained much and the creek was barely a trickle. The downstairs area was quite musty as well. Maybe the dehumidifier needs to be upgraded. Otherwise, the cabin was everything we could have hoped for! Thank you!
I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment with the condition of the property during my recent stay. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the home was unfit for occupancy. The entire house reeked of mold and mildew, creating an environment that was not only unpleasant but also potentially hazardous to our health. The sofa beds were filthy, and the upstairs bathroom sink was completely clogged and unusable. In an effort to protect my family’s well-being, I was forced to purchase air mattresses so we would have a clean and safe place to sleep. I was assured that I could keep the air mattresses and submit my receipt for reimbursement, yet that refund was later denied without justification. No guest should ever have to endure conditions like these. The state of this rental was unacceptable, unsanitary, and far below even the most basic standards of hospitality. I strongly urge your company to take immediate action to address these issues and ensure no other guest has to experience what my family and I went through.

Our thoughts on this cabin.
The cabin was decorated perfectly (in the upstairs area ). It was tidy and welcoming. The loft was cozy and nice. The two upstairs bathrooms were clean. The master bedroom shower head didn’t work properly, a hose like stream of water was all it gave when showering, which was disappointing, otherwise the bathroom was nice. My main concern about this property and disappointment was the basement area. It smelled musty. The air quality wasn’t the best and I was disappointed to say the least. Cental air and heating with air purifiers would make all the difference in the world for that.
Overall, we had a nice time at this cabin. All the everyday needs for cooking and entertaining were included.
The house was much darker and stuffier than I had expected. It was clean and had plenty of plates, glasses, towels and extra sheets. I bought air fresheners for the basement hoping that would help. The landline and our cell phones had no coverage in the house. Plenty of parking.
